So I was unable to source CO cannisters (the large ones like for helium and nitrogen etc) as I cannot reasonably have one in the house without suspicion. I did however find CO testing cans, much smaller ones online. They have a meaningful level of CO inside, as they are typically used to test alarms. I tested them today.
I can imagine the amount might vary by brand or country, I sourced mine from an electrical company here. The issues I am seeing are as follows. They are easy to spray, same as an aerosol. They can be sprayed fully quite quickly into an exit bag or room. I sprayed about half of one. I definitely began feeling some affects, breathing felt a little strange, I feel tired and had a slight headache. But I am unsure if just one would be enough in an exit bag. In a well ventilated room, I am not sure if would be enough compared to charcoal methods or cannisters. I think they are a good addition to those methods if available, and can be a method if using an exit bag if you can source one with decent ppm. Just my thoughts so far. As for how it felt? Aside from mild physical effects, it felt like nothing. Which I am glad. I will be testing or refining more but as for now I am happy with these as a potential to ctb.
