Thanks for the info. This is going to be my method. I've decided to use a heavy wooden table as a counterweight on the opposite side of the door because I don't fully trust the door knob. The rope I have was made for boats and has a small loop sewn on one end. I was thinking of simply pulling the other end through the loop and just wrapping the rope around the table a bunch of times until I have the desired length to throw over the top of the door. Then close the door and force myself forward against the noose. I already tied a slipknot with it.

I get dizzy only when I place the rope above the Adam apple but it make my head feel tight I guess

I'm surprised it takes 40 seconds for you to pass out, if the carotids are closed it normally doesn't take that long. When you pass out I don't think the noose will stay under your adams apple, it'll move to the up the neck as your legs give way and you fall.

I've found it works best with the rope right under my chin in a position with my legs out in front of me and my ass an inch or two off the floor. It definitely, hurts my jaw but if I didn't abort i'd be unconscious within 15 secs.

Personally, I think either will work fine, although in my scenario once I pass out there won't be any major body movement and thus less chance of the rope losing it's squeeze on my neck.

I have no clue why it takes 40 seconds; it could be because of the blood built up in my head from leaning hard into the rope rushing down and makes me lose conciousness that way (siphon effect), or maybe I am only partially closing them. I am no doctor, and don't know WHY it works, just WHAT works.

And that is great it works for you that way. I have tried that as well, but it hurt too much for me and I always backed out. That is why pushing forward works for me good. Of course it is all personal preference; the only important thing with partial suspension is the fact that you can put a rope around your neck and close the carotids.

If you aren't closing your carotids, then you will likely wake up after you pass out and the attempt will be rather frightening to say the least. Your carotids need to be continuously closed for 20 or so minutes to ensure death, your body will also have death throes trying to free itself soon after losing consciousness.

I recommend, not holding your breath or exerting yourself and to let the rope do the work, this way you'll know the rope will still do the job once your unconscious. It sounds like you are putting in a lot of force to make it work at an angle and position on your neck that the rope will not be in once your unconscious.

Your method although it will likely work, is still kind of dicey to me, I read too many stories in the past on here and the old subreddit of people waking up after passing out. This scenario could be potentially very bad, ie. live but with significant brain damage. For that reason, i'd rather go with the pain and stick to my technique.

I do agree with your rope suggestion though, a nylon rope around the thickness of ones finger is what i've found to be ideal for partial (a climbing rope is better suited for full).

If you can't feel any dizziness in your body it usually means you're not applying enough pressure on the rope. A small tip. I was only able to feel it when doing full suspension.

True, but as you said maybe the rope could climb above my Adam's apple once I drop from unconsciousness. I don't know, as I haven't gone unconscious alone (yet). I can never get myself to do it the way you do (have tried before and I can't go unconscious), so if I become desperate I might try my way as it is the only way I find that works. There are even people who kill themselves similar to that way in prison with bedsheets, too. People die accidentally by autoerotic asphyxiation using it like that.

There is no guarantee that I will not wake up, but putting a rope around your neck and using slipknots is VERY dangerous anyway. I don't see why it shouldn't kill you

I think it will work, that said, the chances of failure imo are higher with your technique, that's all. How your body falls will likely determine whether or not the rope continues to apply pressure on the noose for the 20 mins needed to ensure death. Your not using gravity to choke yourself out, your using force exerted by your actions that will not be available once your passed out. How much rope do you have from the tie off point to the noose? If it's too long for example you'll simply fall on the floor and the noose will not apply any pressure at all, you'll 100% wake up in that scenario.

Many also fail, the unabomber failed, war machine failed, to name a couple, only documented because they were in prison.

I don't want to scare you, it's more of a fear I have myself tbh, that's why I know all this.

Lol it's all good. It's good to be scared and cautious. If I was more cautious and scared in the past, I would not even be on this forum as my life would have not been destroyed.

And you are right about the gravity and all that, but my body would likely drop and continue to apply enough force. If not, I would try again I guess. My rope is definitely not too long, I assure that.

The only way to die is to try, I guess. Try hard, and hopefully have a bit of luck in the process.

You said to not use padding on the rope, the main reason I used padding was to prevent it from making a bruising mark as partial takes time to master I can't have people asking what's that, with the mark around your neck. Other than that very informative!
hi would a dressing gown belt work? if kneeling down and attached to a door knob?

I've tried losing conscience many times, but I can never find the right place to close my arteries. Once my body started shaking but even then I didn't faint. Are there some tricks to find the right place to press on your arteries? Thanks for responding in advance.

I'm trying it like (jon86) said, puting the noose under my shin, setting with my legs infront me and with a simple Slipknot i let it to gravity, i also use a rope thinner than my finger, the rope really does look that it's made of plastic it even leaves me with a color in my neck, so what happens is that i get this head expoding feeling and then this tingling feeling all over my body specially my lips and the end of my fingers but the head expoding feeling stops me from going i feel like my eyes are about to pop out i get scared and stand up, after this im completely fine my head don't even hurt. Can somebody help me improve my method? Also I'm not sure if i suppose to get theese cramps from the Syrian girl video.

Should be information in the resource section, and I highly recommend that most of you read that and do further research on your own. You are seriously lacking a ton of very important information.

Thanks for the info and for the tips, I hope I will be able to CTB with partial hanging in less than one month, leaving the world is indeed a hard thing to do.

I stand up, and lean forward into the rope. The rope should be somewhere BELOW your adam's apple (takes some practice to find the right spot for you). Don't drop down too much; just bend your knees, stand up, and PUSH HARD into the rope.

You need to push instantaneously with SUPER FORCE into the rope, so you avoid the exploding head syndrome and get dizzy within ten seconds (do not slowly lean in to the rope). You will feel some pain as your neck is being squeezed and scarred, but the pain goes away once the dizziness sets in (this is the very beginning of loss of consciousness).

Keep your position holding and the dizziness effect will intensify, then you will black out and likely be dead within an hour, if not 15 minutes. It takes me personally around 40 seconds to lose consciousness.

No, I do not get a headache after
This confuses me a bit, you may not be here to reply, but wouldn't you fall on your ass after losing consciousness squatting and pulling like that? And therefore wouldn't conclude your death when taking the fall on the ground ? Or am I stupid lol

This method scares me a lot, even reading about it makes me feel uncomfortable. To me hanging sounds like a difficult method. The OP seems very knowledgable about the subject, but I cannot agree that hanging is the best ctb method.

As long as you lean forward into the noose with your whole body, and then bend your knees, you'll not fall on your back.

Hey, guys. I'm from Canada, and My life was ruined four months ago. I got arrested for doing evil things out of depression and intense anger I have built up over the years and am now on bail, and I'll never have a future, lost all my dreams, reputation destroyed, etc. Since then, I have experimented with suicide.

First, I tried antifreeze. I drank 3 full cups of it mixed with hot chocolate after my release from jail, and I shit you not: it did NOTHING to me. Absolutely nothing. No pain, no noticeable problems. So, I figured chemicals wouldn't kill me, and I experimented with pill overdose.

I purchased 3 bottles of 100 mg caffeine pills from Wal*Mart, ground them up in a magic bullet blender, so it turned into caffeine powder. Later that night, I ate 5 full tablespoons of the powder, which was equivalent to maybe 8,000 mg of caffeine. It was very bitter, and very painful to swallow. I gagged a LOT while trying to swallow it, and downed it with some iced tea. Within 5 minutes, I began feeling dizzy. 20 minutes later, the dizziness got intense and I began hallucinating a tiny bit. An hour later, my head felt like it was spinning all around my body and I puked all over my floor, along with INTENSE sweating and a small fever. I puked exactly 34 times that night, with the last 7 pukes being dry with nothing coming out. I was literally puking my organs out that night. I couldn't sleep for two days straight, and was extremely alert and very sensitive to sudden movements and motions. My heart kept beating slowly and then fast, and had very random beating patterns. I felt like I was going to have a heart attack; and who knows, maybe I did actually have a small one. I lay down on the bathroom floor all night, in INTENSE pain and agony. The pain was like nothing I have felt before in my life, and trust me I have been through some very painful moments before. I puked the next day as well, and felt just terrible. The effects slowly withered away as the days passed, but they lasted for 6 days. The Internet and all the research I have found online told me that this amount of caffeine I swallowed would kill me and give me a heart attack probably, but it didn't. I took more than the supposedly "lethal" amount of caffeine, and it only tortured me like HELL. Being in that agony was worse than hell, actually. So pro tip: Never try to overdose on ANYTHING, especially caffeine. It just doesn't fucking work. Since chemicals and pills were now off the list, and since I didn't have the guts or bravery to jump in front of a train, stab myself, do physical harm, etc., and since I have no access to firearms, I did research on hanging.

I never thought I had the bravery to do full suspension hanging, and the risk of the rope or ligature breaking seemed too risky. Then I found out about partial suspension hanging, and tried it almost 30 times now to practice it, get used to it, and see what works and what doesn't work.

First I tried a necktie on a doorknob, which didn't work. I knew I had to stand up to get enough weight on my neck. Then, I bought a rope and used a clove hitch on my bowflex bar and a slipknot. It was decent, but the slipknot had a rough time getting down with all the friction.

Then, I purchased white Nylon rope capable of supporting 470 lbs of weight. The slip knot on his Nylon rope slipped literally like butter, and it was a soft rope and not too big. From all my experience, here is what I recommend to use:

- A nylon rope with a thickness roughly the size of your finger or less. I personally found out that thick ropes or things such as scarves, neckties, belts, etc. Do not really work well. But that's just my 30 times of experience.
- Make sure the rope can support a good amount of weight so it doesn't break (mine supports 470 lbs, for example)
- Use a slip knot to tie around your neck (best knot for partial suspension from my experience), and use a clove hitch knot to tie to your ligature point (or a snuggle hitch if you want; doesn't really matter)
- Make sure the ligature point is strong. Use a pull-up bar, a log in the woods, etc. Anything strong you can find. I am using the bar on top of my Bowflex, for example. The ligature point NEEDS to be strong! Very important. If you can't find a high enough ligature point that is strong enough, then keep searching I guess.
- Do not use padding. You will have the rope cut into your neck a bit and will experience some bad pain, but I found this pain only lasts 3 or 4 seconds before the dizziness kicks in. If you use padding, the pressure of the rope will be reduced and it will make the suicide attempt much more difficult. There is no such thing as an easy death with hanging; if you can't take the temporary pain of the rope cutting in a tiny bit and your neck getting squeezed, then don't kill yourself.
- Put the slip knot BELOW your Adam's apple somewhere (you'll need to experiment to find the right spot, but it's pretty easy to find the first few tries). I found that if it is above my Adam's apple, it is harder to lose consciousness and is more painful than it needs to be.
- Push forwards into the rope with your neck, and don't drop too much. I find that bending my knees too much and dropping my body weight makes it hard to breathe and makes me back out, but what works for me may be different for you. You'll need to experiment to get it right.
- Drink some alcohol or listen to some music. This helps with motivation, but isn't necessary.

If you do it right, you'll feel pain from the rope squeezing and digging into your neck for about 4 seconds. Then after four seconds, the pain starts to dissipate and your whole body should start to feel dizzy. The dizziness doesn't really hurt, but feels really awkward. While it doesn't really hurt, your survival instinct may kick in as you are literally on the verge of unconsciousness and then death. You need to keep leaning into the rope and not back out. When you keep leaning and let the dizziness keep going, you'll be unconscious within 20 or 30 seconds. I was practicing with my only friend I have left who I met a couple months ago who is also suicidal, to monitor me and save me if I went unconscious (as me and him were strictly practicing so we could have that confident feeling and skill of being able to die whenever we wanted to). I did it two times with my friend watching me. The first time, I backed out and stood up after my vision started blurring and I got the feeling of passing out. HOWEVER, when I stood up, my friend said I went unconscious. Going unconscious that first time was scary. I couldn't remember anything, woke up very confused and I thought I was in hell being held by a demon or something. So, keep in mind that you can still go unconscious even when backing out. With some solo practice after backing out I found that I had a huge surge of dizziness and it felt like blood was rushing up my skull, and if I was in that rope longer, it would have translated into unconsciousness and then death. The second time I stayed in the rope and didn't back out. It was an unexplainable feeling waking up from unconsciousness like that. Hanging like this also gives me a natural high and a sort of "rush". Apparently kids online play something called the choking game to get a natural high from asphyxia. There is even autoerotic asphyxiation and all that. I think that at the end of the day, partial suspension hanging is EXTREMELY easy once you practice enough. Many people a year die from accidental hanging. ACCIDENTAL. There are suicidal people who supposedly try very hard to die via partial suspension hanging, and just can't die. Then there are happy-go-lucky, good hearted people who don't try too hard and then accidentally kill themselves via this method.

If you feel unconfident in partial suspension hanging, which in my opinion, is the best suicide method in existence, then just keep practicing and researching and try different positions with the rope and your body. At the end of the day, you will accomplish suicide. You WILL succeed with partial suspension hanging. It's a literal guarantee it will work for you eventually. You just need to take the pain from the rope for a small time, and practice. PRACTICE. And you WILL be a MASTER AT SUICIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for informative post. How high should the ligature point be relative to your head?

I used to know a few masters of suicide but I havn't seen them for a while, wonder what happened to them?

Is there a possibility that during partial hanging you go unconscious and change positions therefore causing yourself to wake? How can I ensure I stay in the same position I'm in?

I totally agree, praxis helps to get confidence in your method, to mitigate the fear from the unknown and to get used to the feeling and pain. As far as I know, hanging (full and partial) is the only methode were you can get praxis. How to get pratice in methos like jumping, fire arms or poison? From my experience I know, that partial hanging is not an option for me, I don´t have enough willpower not to stand up when I feel that I will pass out.

You said to not use padding on the rope, the main reason I used padding was to prevent it from making a bruising mark as partial takes time to master I can't have people asking what's that, with the mark around your neck. Other than that very informative!
What does padding on the rope mean? Could you please explain a bit?

How do you practice partial without dying?
