• Hey Guest,

An update on the OFCOM situation: As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. OFCOM, the UK’s communications regulator, has singled out our community, demanding compliance with their Online Safety Act despite our minimal UK presence. This is a blatant overreach, and they have been sending letters pressuring us to comply with their censorship agenda.

Our platform is already blocked by many UK ISPs, yet they continue their attempts to stifle free speech. Standing up to this kind of regulatory overreach requires lots of resources to maintain our infrastructure and fight back against these unjust demands. If you value our community and want to support us during this time, we would greatly appreciate any and all donations.

So
You have quite good motor control until you black out.
It doesn't need much control to step off.
And finally, if you don't have motor control anymore, you still fall off the chair or be partial leaning on it, still hanging...
so if you back out before you step off, your other leg on the chair will fall anyway?

I've heard that it is really painful. Where did you hear this?

Who told you this?
It depends on many factors, the material, thickness and position of the noose, padding or not, your weight, adrenaline, your personal sensitivity...

So 100% of your weight was on the rope? That would collapse your windpipe.
If the ligature is above the windpipe of course it doesn't collapse anything. The larynx or the hyoid bone would break, btw.

But doesn't your windpipe go down your whole neck?

It's where you can feel the cartilage by touching. Above is the hypopharynx and the hyoid bone.
Usually the noose goes upward on the neck in suspension, so it is usually clear above the windpipe.

But you said the larynx breaks. Wouldn't that be painful?

No, usually the larynx doesn't break in hanging, but in manual strangualtion with brutal force.
