Discussion The ligature causes pain by applying pressure over the Adam's Apple

Facing three issues:

1. The rope is coming over the Adam's Apple and causes pain.
2. I don't think the rope is able to compress my carotids.
3. Wayy to fearful to jump off the chair can't get over this.

I am using the noose knot, knot at back of neck, around 8 - 10 mm rope used for hiking etc. Should I add some folded socks at sides and some other padding over Adam's Apple?

when I made attempts I started with rope above Adam's apple, near jawline, fwiw. Leaning into it was uncomfortable but not on Adam's apple.

Yes I was also too fearful to just step off. Sucks. Sorry you're suffering too

It is frustrating to have an accessible method—knowing that a belt and a doorknob, or even just the clothes I'm wearing, would work to end my life—and yet still be here, repeating the same things, the same feelings, the same certainties.
