i've been experimenting with partial for the past few days and i finally figured it out. i kept failing (getting the head explosion sensation) but i tested it again last night and i found the carotid artery thingy. my arms and legs got tingly then they went completely numb and my fingers still kind of are. my hearing also feels weak like my ears are blocked or something. i felt dizzy for like a second and started to black out but i grabbed the rope and quickly stood up. the entire experience was so peaceful, like i was slipping into non existence or just a very deep sleep. it's so relieving to have a way out. next time i feel the urge this is definitely the way i'm gonna do it. it felt so good that i'm tempted to do it again just for the feeling. but my SI is strong so i'm going to get drugged up and super drunk before i actually do it

i spent like 1 hour trying to tie a slip knot 💀 that was the hardest part honestly

put a finger on the middle of your neck, then search for a spot near the middle where you can feel your pulse beating, thats the position
idk if this help

everyone is different, mine is very close to my jawline. the way i found it was placing the noose below my jaw (at the start of my neck basically) and gently leaning forward and gradually increasing the pressure. it took a couple of tries to find the sweet spot, my mistake before was putting the rope too low on my neck bc i read on other threads that its below the adam's apple. if you're trying to find it then keep in mind yours may be higher than you think

What did you tie the rope to if you don't mind me asking. I considered hanging but i'm unsure what can withstand my body weight.

i tied it from the steel bar in my closet (where you hang your clothes). the good thing about partial you don't need something that'll withstand your entire weight, just part of it

You don´t need to find your carotids, the rope will find them because it crosses them.

This is why partial is not an option for me. By full hanging I trick out my survival instinct.

It must be a relief having a method that you feel confident in. I envy those with the courage for this method, I would worry about it somehow failing and just leading to more suffering being experienced if I tried to attempt. But I hope that when the time is right for you to leave this world, you find the freedom that you wish for.

Partial suspension is the only method I have in my arsenal. I'm unemployed and housebound, so there's no alternative for me. I'm still trying to position the rope in a way where I'll become knocked out within seconds.

I've also fiddled with partial a bit but I can't get over the odd sensations and survival instinct.

That sound exactly the way like Geo Stone describes in his book. Good for you. I tried several times but could not master that. I appears my carotid is kind of deep inside. Not like Stone describe closer to surface on the right side.

same lol i didn't think it would work for me bc i kept failing and its one of my only options. i would suggest experimenting with different angles of the rope, for mine i have to lean down at a specific angle to get it right. i definitely got lucky with it bc i was just trying random positions with the rope when i found it

thanks for your comment, i read the book and found it very insightful. the location of my carotid is different to where he describes it as well. if yours is deep inside you probably need a lot more pressure to get it to work

same, it's one of my only methods. either this or CO poisoning in my car but CO is too finicky and risky for me and my suicidal attempts are impulsive so i think i'll botch it. hanging is better, it's one and done and one of the most lethal methods. it took me a while to find the sweet spot and im going to practice some more so i don't forget how to do it properly

if my SI ends up being too strong im also leaning towards full hanging. i think if i practice partial more i can position the rope to lose consciousness quickly with full suspension

I read a lot of posts to partial suspension megathread that say you put rope below adam's apple. So it is not correct! I can feel pulse beating on the upper sides of neck
