Is there some sort of detailed protocol for supplements? As in, there's stuff like this but it's not an actual protocol (like how detailed SN protocol is lol)

Also yes I considered that there's probably no one-size fits all; but just like SN, despite that, there exists a SN protocol, I find that this should also have a protocol.

(Tbh would be great if companies made "3-a-day" supplements with minerals cross-malabsorbtion taken into account instead of the currently existing "1-a-day"; but for now if there was at least a protocol I could follow I'd highly appreciate while businesses catch on to the idea - already taking 1-a-day for some time but still feel like crap; gotten blood works done but everything normal - can't afford more expensive extensive blood works atm)

(Sorry for posting on Recovery; I was gonna choose OffTopic but I figured perhaps it may also help people in recovery to regulate their bodies? Idk, I myself am not exactly in recovery, I'm just too much of a wimp to attempt, so I figure may as well try to at least keep my head above the water even though that itself is fucking exhausted already - I suppose if I wasn't so exhausted just breathing, I'd be able to formulate the protocol myself)

I noticed a couple users having made posts who happen to be pharmacology students but I think they managed to CTB, anyone here from that field care to weigh in? (Not sure if supplements fall under pharmacology)

I'm not a pharmacology student, but my psychiatrist recommended I take vitamin D, zinc, and high-quality fish oil (you would be looking for high EPA and DHA and testing for heavy metals). She also stressed the importance of having enough unsaturated fat in my diet.
She isn't a naturopath, just a regular physician who also prescribes me my psychiatric medication.

Yeah I've seen many many recommendations like yours, but without actual protocol or what to take in succession etc. Maybe it's too niche to have a generic protocol, idk

I apologize for answering your question inadequately. I do study medicine in general, and I would say that you're right in that it's difficult to prescribe a one-size-fits-all supplement regimen. What vitamins and macronutrients a person on a vegetarian diet might lack are very different from what vitamins and macronutrients a person who follows the "carnivore" diet might lack, a person from London might struggle much more with their vitamin D levels than a person from Florida, etcetera etcetera. Being malnourished in any way will certainly aid in mental health struggles.
The ones I listed are just supplements my psychiatrist mentioned as ones particularly important in the production of serotonin in the brain, and without the ability to adequately produce serotonin, serotonin reuptake inhibitors won't be able to function as well.

If any doctors or people with more credentials than me in general want to chime in to correct me on anything, feel free.

I just realised that on some Sasu colour modes, the link I provided on my original post doesn't stand out; here it is again:

What I meant was similar to how the currently generic one-a-day multivitamins exist (that are not specific to vegetarian/carnivore/region? Not - but they do exist)

Eg [click here] , although there's a small "ideal pairings" there's no protocol that covers everything that they mentioned not to pair (I assume from that article, zinc can't be paired with fish oil? - and they don't mention if vitamin D can be taken with zinc; only mentioning ADEK best taken with fats so is it ok to take fish oil?)

Also I didn't thank you earlier for your detailed response; thank you so much 🙏

I guess I'm also at loss because although I been taking one-a-day I'm wondering if I can do better pairings to improve my mental health, as currently psy eval isn't an option for me (logistics & financial issues)

This could really be a cash cow for some company that already makes 1-a-day; to formulate something that's 3-a-day or something

Then again, I suppose that would take away nutritionists/dietitian/functional medicine practitioner food bowl (of course people who can afford those should by all means go for it, but for people like me off-the-shelf option would be good)

Anyway not that it matters, I'm back to wanting to ctb lol
