My mother is a psychopath. She covers it up best she can but I see it. She has many fooled. I am totally trapped. She has taken my self esteem, my independence, my heart. It gives me very little to hope for other than her death or mine. She is 82. I pray to God she dies soon. I live with her now., and my dad who is a psychopath too.

You deserve all the hugs. *sending virtual hug* My mother had a negative effect on my mental health, I was removed by a social worker at 18 and this helped. I'm terribly sorry you've had to endure this, especially by your own parents.

Fuck. That's a special kind of hell—being trapped with not one but two psychopaths, and nobody else sees it. Of course you're exhausted. She's had decades to grind you down, and now you're just counting the days until either she's gone or you are. I don't blame you for praying for an end. Nobody should have to live like this.

Is there anything that gives you even a tiny break from them? A room you can lock, a walk you can take, anything? I know it's not freedom, but sometimes surviving minute-by-minute is all you can do.

Spent over half a decade of my adult life living under her roof and it broke me. Nobody deserves that. You don't deserve that. Treat yourself to something nice one of these days. Hugs.
