From that I can see one thing - everyone cares only for themselves, family and their close circles

Taking action to address global warming is not only about earth but about us but requires radical

and keep breeding, "passing the buck" on our children, thinking everything will be okay.
It won't be okay. History does not repeat itself. Humanity does and will eventually end up in future
generations subjecting their children to dystopian reality at best and their last generation to extinction
event at worst.



If we don't care about others and are too ignorant to do reality check before breeding what makes you
think we will care about planet?

The longer I live with my wife, the more I feel we shouldn't have kids even though her family are pressuring us to have kids because that's how their culture works. I know that having kids in this kind of world is a bad idea and that even as adults we're unable to deal with the real world, so how the fuck are we going to be the guiding light in our kids lives? Kids, especially when they're younger are sponges. They soak in everything with their 5 senses and whatever shit they pick up from humans, they apply to themselves later on. Also you have the 50/50 chance of carrying over a genetic defect or mutation in your DNA to your kid so now they have the chance of getting the same shit illness you have, whether mental or physical.

But my wife and my wife's family doesn't understand this. Her sisters all have 3-4 kids of their own. Right now they're tiny and formative in their years, but the oldest sister has grown children that are getting into drugs and alcohol and all they can do is cater to their whims and be enslaved by their own children. They believe children will be there to help them when they get old. They believe that having children is an extension of your progeny in life. They believe having children makes the government give them more money. I always joke to my wife that having just 1 kid will feel like I have two because my wife's mentality is like a child too.

One must not forget that nature itself is inherently cruel; even if mankind were to be purged from the surface of the earth, animals would still suffer at the hands (paws, claws...) of each other.
