Greetings,

first thread here.

I hope this doesn't come across as encouraging anyone to ctb, but does anyone else here also feel a ''morbid'' sense of nearly insane excitement when thinking about possibly finally finding an end? I would seriously be so glad if I'd finally find my peace after everything. Even if I wouldn't be alive in this world to feel the relief after the chase.

I cannot do anything yet. I would if I could, of course. Please tell me I'm not a total weirdo. I understand many people are the total opposite to me and afraid of death, I respect it, so I don't talk about the fact that I likely would not be that nervous very often.

Let me know what you think...

Regards

No, you're not a weirdo at all. Many come across this intense feeling of euphoria and elation. It's a feeling of invulnerability. You have a way out no matter what comes. If a squad team and the FBI showed at your house, you could, you know, you show them your middle finger and take yourself out instead.

Weird scenario, I get it, but I think you get the drift. In a way, you can overcome difficult situations because you know in the back of your mind that you can end it at any time.

You're not a weirdo to me ... although, of course, many mental health professionals believe that I am.

I get weirdly excited when I think of all the horrible news stories I'll never have to hear about. All the AI nightmares and jobs made obsolete. All the climate crises. World war III. Civil War in the US. I will be long gone for it
