empathy extended in droves until it proves morally inconvenient. all you see on here is desperation with no recourse. once you've exhausted all of the 'socially acceptable' channels, you find yourself taking direction from strangers represented only by some anime pfp. better to talk amongst yourselves than jeopardize your autonomy and compound preexisting traumas. i don't know where these hard and fast rules stem from, in regards to suicide. the last vestiges of one ideology or another i suppose, but they certainly run counter to compassion. suicidality does not equal incompetence. this forum illustrates the way in which the depressive is undermined at every turn. constantly reminded that your subjective reality is unacceptable, and effectively reinforcing the alienation you were already experiencing. to be clear, i'm not in opposition to this forum at all. its just a shame that an archaic society makes its existence necessary. you shouldn't have to blow your brains out in a Motel 6.
