I started reading this forum a few weeks ago because even though my life is pretty good objectively, I just feel miserable often. Life feels like it's usually a struggle, and I'm just not sure if I want to keep fighting. One thing I've noticed on here is that a successful attempt seems difficult. There's one question I have. I keep hearing of the many people who overdose, accidently on drugs, often laced with fentanyl. I always thought it was a better way to ctb. I thought it made you feel good. Am I wrong? Is this not a reliable method? I haven't seen any threads talking about it, so apologies if it's a dumb question.

Successful attempts aren't as difficult as this forum makes it seem at first glance. There's plenty verified suicides from here and many more second-hand accounts. A lot of people on here don't really want to die when it comes down to it and there's nothing wrong with that. We are here for everyone.

Overdosing is a terrible method, unreliable, unlikely to kill you, and likely to just make you a vegetable. It's listed as a non-method specifically.

Specifically fentanyl isn't so bad though, but still. Buying from your local crackhead isn't how I'd want to toss the dice.

Overdosing is an unreliable method since it can often be a coin toss as whether you die or not. Also using illicit drugs like that is often difficult since they are not kept to any standard, they could be 60% pure or 10%. So not only would calculations be hard there also many supplemental substances added to drugs of those too like adding fent to heroin for more addiction to it, which could lead to you be in a worse off situation since with the wrong combination you could become paralyzed.
