Venting Mental illness is a thief

It's going to steal my life. It's stolen jobs, friends, family, pets, time, everything. It has touched every aspect of my life and soon it will take the whole thing. I've fought so fucking hard. I've tried everything I could get my hands on. I've spent years of my life trying to beat it. And it always remains triumphant. One of these days, probably within 3 years, it will finally kill me. It has tried and tried and tried so many times, but this time it's plan is nearly foolproof. And it's not a plan I would ever want to survive. The physical consequences of surviving it would be life shattering. I hope that when I finally do it it is quick.

I can empathize a lot. I've felt like this for a long time but never thought about putting it in these words, but that's a great way of putting it. So much of my life has been robbed from me.

I agree with you 100% My depression has stolen YEARS from my life. I've lost friends, fallen out with family members and have had zero success because of it. Depression takes everything from us and leaves us in a dark hole.

Sometimes, baby birds will attempt to fly only to plunge to their deaths. It's hauntingly beautiful.
Not everything is meant to fly, and yet they try so hard and fail and die. It's hard not to admire their effort.
So even if your mental illness causes you to plunge too, let it be know that your life where you only struggled and were robbed of everything, is beautiful too…
