According to research that seems to be done by professionals, there is no method that is always lethal, none at all. Not guns, jumping from a bridge, jumping from a building, poison, no method. The closest is Nembutal, but even some at Dignitas in Switzerland needed an additional injection because many hours had passed and they were not yet dead. If they had no injection they might have survived.

When they says guns fail a small amount of the time, they don't mean they position the gun at the back of the head with a high powered gun, and failed. They mean the person shot themselves in the jaw so it failed etc. Jumping succeeds if you land on your head etc. This stuff isn't rocket science.

You obviously have done absolutely no research about it. I have. What you quoted me saying is true. You believing it or choosing not to does not change its status of being true.

I'm listing member handles of those who attempted with SN to help others in deciding on its reliability by reading their postings. All of them were hurting and I wish no disrespect. They shared their stories for the benefit of other members.

Being successful requires some hours of privacy and 4 elements: fasting 8 hours, appropriate antiemetic, acid reducer and sufficient dosage and purity of SN. Details are found in the wiki and megathread. I've found only 2 failures with stat dose and none with 48 hour.

All failures were due to vomiting, being found or calling emergencies. Alone time can be planned and it's your choice to call for help. However, you might not know that you're prone to vomiting for whom no oral method is recommended.

@Eden2k and @Funkygibbon both failed initially, learned from the attempt and were subsequently successful.

You have me thinking, maybe I should try capsules with the addition of a smaller dose of liquid. Maybe less chance of vomiting?

It does sound to good to be true. There was a lady that took sn in capsules but failed. Don't know if she changed her mind and got help or it just wasn't enough

Do you know how much she used? I was thinking of doing 15 grams (20 max) since I'm only 82 pounds or so. If I put 7.5 in capsules, and 7.5 in water, maybe that would work well. I have Crohn's disease and gastroparesis though, so despite my low weight, maybe I should do 10 and 10.

It's probably a safer bet to use one or the other as you'll want it to be absorbed at a similar time to ensure unconsciousness is quick. I believe capsules can take up to an hour to fully work (see @Funkygibbon thread )

I wonder if you should take a lethal dose dissolved in water, plus some more in capsules. That way the solution should kill you, and pills will kick in to finish the job if necessary without increasing vomiting probability.

Capsules would be best used right before you go to bed late at night. Then you don't have to worry about the sn getting you unconscious. You take the capsules and get in the bed and go to sleep.

I think she took 17 capsules but she might have changed her mind at the last second before it took effect who knows

What about to take sn and few seconds shortly after this high dose intravenous morphine?
I cannot believe that the SN-''sleep'' is pleasant because it does not work on opioid receptors.

Very much! I'm terrified of this failing. I'm homebound and live with my parents, so this needs to work the first time.

What are the chances of crying out in pain/delirium? I think this would be the only way I would be found too soon. I live in a small house with my parents and the bedrooms/bathrooms are right next to each other. Wood floors mean sound travels like crazy. On top of that, my mom is a light sleeper.

I'm in the exact same situation. Housebound and chronically ill, plus live with parents in a small house. I also have severe GI ailments so am terrified of not keeping it down, even with antiemetics.

My problem there is that I have really bad rectal scarring from the Crohn's. I also imagine it would hurt like a mofo if I have any current ulceration going on. I keep ping ponging back and forth between going with capsules or liquid. And now something else has occurred to me...maybe I should have ordered a diaper? You know how they say the body purges itself when you're dead. It's going to be hard enough on my mom when she finds me, I hate to leave a mess on top of that. I'm also conflicted about whether to CBT in the bedroom or bathroom. The bathroom would be less messy, but shares a wall to my parents bedroom. I have a pet in my bedroom (big cage), so I can't really close the door (gets super stuffy in my room with the door shut) for the needed privacy. So many stupid little quibbles!

Edit: just how blue do you turn, like shockingly blue? Am I going to give my mom a heartattack?

Yeah, the real question is how painful it is if done properly. I'm not worried about success with SN, I'm worried about discomfort.

The side effect list doesn't show anything major aside from chest pain, dizziness and headache. All of those can be minimized with benzos and painkillers.

For your first concern, are you able to fast for slightly longer than the recommended 8 hours? If you are able to fast for at least a full day, your system will be pretty empty and you should not have to worry about leaving a mess behind.

For your second question, unfortunately it looks like you do turn disconcertingly blue/blue-grey... you can google 'cyanosis' if you wish to see examples, but the images can be a bit gruesome so please don't google that if it will make you upset. I sympathize with your concerns, I'm so sorry you have to worry about how you will be found by your family. It must be very stressful. I hope that everything goes smoothly for you, whatever you end up deciding to do.

I guess it depends on your definition of 'gruesome'! When I searched it a few images of dead people came up, and I just didn't want to blindly tell someone to look for something that may be upsetting without warning them first, that's all. Everyone's different!

There seems to be a need for it. Loads of questions on the site regarding what happens, time to unconsciousness and then death. I guess it is the only way you can get those answers regardless of how questionable it may be thought of. I mean we have members here interrupting goodbye threads with all sorts of questions.
