Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

I just feel like sharing a bit of my story that gave me hope that I might get out of the deep hole I dug myself in.

After causing acute laryngitis to become chronic by drinking alcohol too soon after recovery I had to go back home while on a round the world trip. No longer having a place to stay or health insurance I then crashed at my boy-friend's place, but was soon kicked out, because he decided he wanted to be by himself. Luckily a friend of mine rescued me by offering me to stay at his and his wife's flat. I had meanwhile been to an ENT in my home country paying out of pocket as the treatment I had been prescribed abroad didn't have any effect. After trying the new treatment for a few weeks it is now obvious that it still doesn't have any effect. Plus I was also worried to be kicked out of the place I am staying now, because my friends' landlords don't like me staying there. All this caused me to be quite desperate and consider ctb, although (as I half expected) I wasn't able to go through with it, probably because I feel I don't have exhausted all medical options yet.

However, yesterday I had a really good conversation with my friend and he assured me he will defend my staying with them in conversation with his landlord and help me find a new appartment and that I don't need to be worried to be left sleeping in the streets. And he is in general really understanding and kind. Even when I told him (or actually wrote, as I can't talk for more than a few minutes a day) that I will probably kill myself, if I don't eventually get better, he didn't freak out, but just told me that I should find a chill way to do it, if I am actually going to do it.
And I am in the process of getting back into health insurance, I have by now filled the necessary forms and talked repeatedly on the phone with the people from my health insurance and if all goes well I will have health insurance again by the beginning of next week.
My friend also made an appointment with a GP that is quite competent and nice for himself, but insists that I should come, too, despite not having health insurance yet, because he thinks the doctor would still try to help me and could possibly give me some insight what the next steps could be. This would be really helpful as the previous 2 doctors just prescribed me some medications without explaining anything, leaving me to figure out what to do by myself using google and AI and so far none of the things I tried or the medications I was prescribed made any difference.
But hopefully I will soon be able to fully access health care again and find out what is causing my persistent hoarse voice and throat pain.
