Hello I am 20 y/o male from East Coast USA

I still want to live (i think) but I'm off an on. Reading on this website fills me with heavy sadness, but like also a sense of together-ness that I love.

I'm currently in college, studying Psychology and Sociology. I'm not really that invested in academics, I just got a free military scholorship from my dead father. I usually play alot of games, but I'm decently interested in photography and video games. Recent obsessions, in the realm of video games, have been Baldur's Gate 3 (lovely TTRPG brought to life in 3D by Larian studios), Dispatch (Choice based game centered around superhero's in the eyes of someone working at the agency), and Cyberpunk 2077 (FPS story game centered in the heart of Night City, a world in the cyberpunk asethetic). I'm not very good at describing myself, as I have really bad self-imagry, but this post is like the best i've done in like a decade....

My reason for posting is that I just wanna develop a more personal relationship with people I feel uniquely connected to. I want to learn your stories, what brought you here, and how you are traveling. I also could use non-paywalled human connection that will not get me sent to a ward <3

Don't mind me, but those are quite the fields for someone who doesn't like academics. I can feel the need for non paywalled human connection- I mean even YouTube let's me see videos after twenty ads! (YouTube can be called a place for human connection.... I guess. It lets you know other humans exist)

Hi! I'm 19F I'm puerto rican but live and grew up in western Massachusetts. I kind of stopped doing some of my hobbies once my depression got pretty bad but somethings that I like are going hiking, sightseeing, cooking, going to the mall, language learning, working out, anime, and I don't listen to music very often, but I like some latin music, some metal music, and I'm a huge Michael Jackson fan! I grew up homeschooled in a Christian family (I'm a pastor's kid lol) but I am now atheist. I'm not into politics so I'm not leftist or right, just neutral somewhere in-between. I'm very kind and I really want a friend that can understand me and that I can listen too. I'm definitely going to ctb and most likely in a year or two until I can move out to NH. I'd like to give this a try while I still have the ability. I'm 30M and have some spare time until next year. I want to try and make a friend where I don't have to hide behind false pretenses. I have a boring personality but my life has been eventful, so I've got some interesting stories to tell. But in general, I'm quiet and not really opinionated. For some reason, I enjoy depressing things and have a somewhat cynical sense of humour. Damage wise, I've only ever been diagnosed with MDD, but I also believe I suffer from agoraphobia, though it's not nearly as bad as it used to be a few years ago. i suffer from a cocktail of different physical and mental health issues, but notably OCD and CPTSD, as well as autism. i am in the process of being diagnosed with narcolepsy/idiopathic hypersomnia as well, and i have a rare progressive disease that we dont yet know the cause of.

i have a pet ball python, her name is trix. i like rain world, kirby, pikmin, splatoon, and a lot of other stuff. i like playing roblox too lol

ive always felt as though suicide would, inevitably, be how i die. im not distressed about this, it just feels like a fact of life. ive been suicidal since i was about 9 years old. im not sure when its going to happen, but i love talking to people and i love meeting new people and i want to try and maximize the amount of joy I can experience before i CTB

I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing with myself, my life, or really what I want anymore. To spare a long story, a mental health crisis from a few years back fucked me up so hard that I get a mental block planning for anything more than like six months out from now. No idea how long I'll be around for, but right now's okay, and that's about as much as I can ask for.

I'm hopefully looking into some kind of entry level mental health role sometime soonish. Being able to help others suffer a little less is one reason I'm sticking around for a bit longer than the rationale part of me says to, so maybe that sort of a job will tide me over.

I love martial arts, drugs, and media (especially anime and manga, but also literature and films). If any of that sounds cool to you, hmu.

My autism is nomadic — I have no one interest that will haunt long enough to be something worthwhile or useful to any fields, but goddamn could I yap to you.

I'm 20m university student from the western US (but studying across country), studying math + neuroscience. Don't get the wrong idea, I'm not, or at least don't feel, smart at all lol. I used to be sociable and have some friends, but it hasn't been that way in 3+ years.

For hobbies, I sometimes play video games like val and osu, although not as much as I used to. Down to try any other game though. I watch all forms of media (anime/tv/movies etc.). My favorite anime is Welcome to the NHK, a bit cliche but what can I say... watched it 3 years ago and still rewatch episodes sometimes. I used to play soccer, but now I only watch that and basketball a lot. I listen to a lot of music and the rest of the time I'm either sleeping, dissociating or studying.

Not planning to CTB soon, but i've just felt dull and void for a long time now. If you want to do anything in general, whether just talk/message or play a game, feel free to PM here or on discord.

My main hobbies currently are food and video games (and anime in the past). I love all sorts of cuisines and types of food, and I've been trying to learn how to cook more advanced stuff. Unfortunately, I decided to start with Classical French, which I don't have the mental energy for, so it's taking a while to learn. I'm also a huge fan of most game genres. I play stuff ranging from League and EU4 to Stardew Valley and Terraria. I also used to watch a lot of anime in the past, but I mostly read manga now. I like many genres for anime/manga too, but romcoms are usually my favorite!
