  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

For those planning to CTB and can't do it anywhere else but home with loved ones also inside, what do you plan to do to try and lessen the trauma of finding your body?

I live with my parents and my method is SN. I want to try and dress/look nice. I want to be in bed so it looks like I'm sleeping. I looked at some photos of SN corpses and the most notable thing is the discoloration of the skin. I could probably use makeup, but I'm not good at it and if it's likely that I'm gonna vomit, there isn't much point. Adult diapers are a must

Of course, there is probably nothing more traumatizing for a parent to discover their child dead under their own roof, let alone by CTB. How are you planning to navigate this?

Edit: In my CTB note(s) that I leave behind, I could probably emphasize that they need to go to trauma counseling. My parents unfortunately don't believe in mental illness/therapy so it's the best I can do. And probably tell them to go play Tetris. Sorry for the edits, guys. The formatting got weird on me.

I once played a game where the suicidal person left a note on the door explaining something and mentioning to call the police. I'm not sure if that would work in real life, because somebody would likely still enter hoping they can help. Wouldn't be surprised if they were asked to confirm the body even if it was obvious for the parents without checking. I wonder what the protocol is. I think about stuff like this now a lot more. You'd think the police doesn't want to traumatize people, but they also need information.

It wont be possible for them to disxover my body... my plan involves travel.. renting a campervan and soing a little driving to where i have a few spots in mind.. but ill just take a trip by self for some " me time as i do " go off grid for a weekend or a week.. eat some good food see some beautiful sights.. but far far enough away to have to have my body shipped home so my body would be found by some random stranger or some police from another country.. i where a medi braclet that links to a measqge service so once my QR code os scanned it texts certain people.. thia avoids the shock and awe of thing to people...

I'm not 100% convinced by the makeup plan even if you somehow didn't ruin it with vomit. Trying to colour correct SN discolouration before you see it on yourself would be challenging. I feel like you'd just end up looking like you painted your face.

I think police have to investigate because it isn't a natural death. So they'll have to ask questions, unfortunately. It makes me upset that loved ones who be considered "suspects" for even a second.

The warning on the door might be a good idea. If other people are going to enter the room regardless, at least they'll have a prior idea of what's inside. Panic will be inevitable but I guess every effort counts to try and make this the least bit easier.

You're lucky you get to travel for your last moments. My daily routine is very boring and I don't go anywhere except work. My parents would be tipped off immediately if I suddenly went somewhere. My body being found by a stranger is my ideal situation.
