Venting losing hope

recently my best friend dropped me and i just don't know what to do anymore. our relationship has been rocky and we didn't treat each other the best. her therapist suggested that it's best for us to separate until i get better. she was the person that helped me think it was ok to live and gave me hope in a better future.

i feel so lost, she was supposed to help me after uni since i would be homeless and i just don't know what to do anymore. it feels like the future was never meant for me and i just want to ctb

i have other friends that care for me but they all feel so distant and i feel so apathetic towards them. i wish i didnt, i wish they gave me the same hope my bsf did. i reached out and got a referral to a psychologist the night she dropped me, but i fear that if i do reach out again, things won't be the same. i keep thinking if i hadn't done this or that, we would still be friends right now. i just feel so hopeless, i was really close to ctb a few months ago and i feel so stupid for not going through with it because i had hope it would get better.

I've had rocky places with my best friend (known each other since we were 3) I would say let time and space cool things down, then reach out again.

Try not to have ego and try to repair any wrongs that you have done. Also, for it to work she will have to want to meet you part way. If she doesn't, then they will be other people. I found my best friend #2 in my mid 40's. Helped me keep my job when I was mentally imploding, kept me from being a complete hermit, and keeps me from putting off must do stuff.

Don't disregard your best friend but realize that they is more than one person in the world for you.

knowing you found someone in your 40s makes me feel a bit relieved .. it's just a bit hard for me to keep going since i'm really apathetic towards everything in general, but i have a little over a year until i graduate.. we'll see how things go

Yeah, if I had a time machine that is what I would tell myself, that it's not hopeless. I can't but I can tell you all that people will come into your lives.
