Hi, maybe you guys understand this? techinically all in my life is going up, got an ok, job college almost finished, i even got an article ive worked for years to be published, yet still i just fell nothing? well maybe not nothing but not satisfaction, not happiness, all the same, no mater how hard the efort or how big the reward it all just feels so anticlimatic, its all the same, it nevers reaches any conclusion, it just like nothing, all of life is just so mundane, so boring, nothing exciting ever happens, i would change everything i have for a 3 day adventure, for something truly excting, how do you take this terrible dullnes in life? i really dont get it. any new perspectives you can give i would be really helpfull im stuck.

Unfortunately I don't have a new perspective but I'm in a very similar spot. Hopefully you'll find a way out of it.

I dont really rate to give you advice as my life itself is a total shit show and a train wreck. To be brutally honest this forum is not really the best place for life wisdom as a lot of people here are in a bad spot in life. I have noticed that a lot of members here are very young(even children) and lack the wisdom or life experience to help others. I think a lot of people are here more for a sense of unity and shared misery than life advice. But I will give you this - what you're describing sounds a lot like imposter syndrome. High achieving people often feel like this, that if they dont succeed in climbing mount Everest they're a failure. The "mundane" feeling might be because your internal critic is blocking the satisfaction you deserve to feel. I do this myself a lot, like when someone compliments me for my looks or etc I will dismiss them and say "naaaa" its not good enough still. It's tough, but many people go through this, especially in the age of social media where people only show the highlights of their lives and it tricks many into believing that they themselves cannot compare. Try to focus on the small, daily wins and find purpose in things outside of major achievements.

Me for example, I keep a youtube video playlist of people with severe physical deformities, extreme poverty, and terminally ill patients to watch when I feel like my life isnt going the way I want. It serves to ground me and brings me back down to Earth.

I know what you mean but at the same time I feel like you must have some drive to have achieved so much already? Like I don't get a thing out of life and didn't really try because I have zero drive. I quit everything. If I was like you and had achieved literally anything I'd be quite pleased I think. Like there's just no way I could've got an article published, or worked on anything for years. You should be really proud of yourself for that!

I do think when you finally achieve something it's probably not as great as you imagined-not that I'd know lol. I have no idea what it's like to be a normie but probably the thing that keeps them going is wanting to try new things and achieve new things. Maybe you'll get that if you start another project or something. I think like another PP said, this forum is maybe not the best place to find out how to live a fulfilling life! But yes I totally get you, I could cry with how bored I am of life.
