None of us know what is going on here. There may be some kind of higher intelligence, there may not. Don't assume to know things that are beyond you, that's a mistake. You can no more know about God than you can solve the dark energy problem in physics tomorrow.

I personally don't believe in any religion, I believe that humans exist as a species because of evolution, and our existence is caused by random factors that eventually lead to us being brought into this world. Life is nothing more than a cruel mistake, I dislike the concept of life with all it's randomness and unfairness.

I believe that it's always more preferable to not exist but of course the best thing is never being born at all. To die is not tragic but rather to exist is. Humans often invent theories as to 'why we exist' and 'the purpose of life', as the true meaningless nature of life is hard for them to come to terms with.

Does anyone ever consider that we could just be programmed to be the Worker Bees of this planet and that we're here to advance towards the goal of a higher species while they sit back and enjoy the fruits of our labour? That this Earth is just one giant slave plantation and our Masters are invisible yet also highly intelligent to be able to build such an efficient worker with a biological drive and need for sex in order to create replicas of more and more workers?

Something about the way things are set up on this planet is sinister in how it serves a higher power and that higher power is not God but our Master.

Then you have us, the ones who suffer from being slaves because we are too aware of our fate as if there is a glitch in our programming and because we refuse or rebel against serving this higher power, we are deemed dysfunctional and obsolete as machines and therefore choose death over slavery.

Yes we live in a prison. This world is like a farm and we are the cattle.. Why do you think we have insurance companies called "farmers" or "state farm" or "liberty." What does insurance have to do with a damn farm or freedom? Nothing here is "man made" or ran by man. It's all designed by the God who's running this place.. All legitimate "signs" and science so far point to the complete absence of what we might call "God" or a "higher power".

This is why I take more offense regarding those who respect, admire and pray to "God" versus simply believing some sort of higher being exists.
