Hi, I'm 22 with a long history of mental illness. My journey will be ending by the year is up, I'm torn between overdosing on my iron medication or jumping from a mountain. Sorry for my recent 3 posts, I've been following this site for a while but only just made an account and getting used to using the site. I live in England, right on the border of Wales, and relatively close to some decent sized mountains. I love heights and feel this would be a good way to die, I love the scenic views. Would this method 100% work? The thought of becoming a vegetable and surviving niggles away at my mind, I want death to be certain. Should I fall backwards so my head hits first? Thank you in advance.

Typically, if it's a high enough drop before impact, it'll do the trick everytime.

Thanks for replying.
Not a problem and I feel I should add that this is assuming that there is nothing that can slow said fall and typically anything above 100 feet (30.48meters) is usually fatal. I'm terrified of heights, so I learned as much as I could about them so I knew what to stay away from.

Not suggesting this route, as there are many other ones, but I figure....

Do you think it would be a relatively quick death?

I like the idea of a mountain death too. But I am more drawn to getting drunk and freezing to death. As with all the possibilities that turn over in my mind though, I would be afraid of just waking up and finding I'm not dead...

Really depends on the length of the drop and what type of surface is landed on, but yes, from what I understand is it can be pretty quick.

Thanks for your reply. The idea of being drunk sounds appealing.

As with any method there is always a % of failure, however jumping from height seems to be pretty reliable. The issue with a mountain is the possibility of unpredictable terrain slowing or breaking your fall, also what is the landing surface?
Given the right height the % of failure is pretty small. Even if you survive the impact Unless a person witnessed and reported the jump , you would likely die before anyone would find you.

Do you have any particular mountains in mind? (no pressure to name them though, if you don't want)

yes, but would rather not name due to not wanting to be found. I made that mistake with beachy head, I made a pact with a guy to go to beachy head and on the day we were due to go, he called the police and someone viewed the forum (it was forum jar) and reported it. Thanks for your reply.

Because there are pro-lifers that infiltrate sites like this and not to mention trolls that just want to make shit harder for us.

Edit:For those upset with what I said. Prove me wrong. There are plenty of cases of pro-lifers that try to shut things like this down or would be more than happy to stop a person from their choice and there are plenty of trolls that would lead someone on, just for the sake of some shits and giggles. Both are sicker types of people than they claim us to be.

Instead of jumping, with the time of year, go up to the top, have a few beers/drinks, fall asleep and die of hypothermia. Makes sense to me anyway

Maybe take the medication on top of the mountain, make yourself comfortable with blankets and snacks, and just die observing the beauty around you. It won't be as quick as the whole falling off a mountain but it's less likely to turn you into a human vegetable. This way, you can die peacefully with less pain while surrounded by the scenery you love.
