i started vortioxetine, 10mg a day, i might document my progress here no one then even if no one cares.
i literally just typed "document my progress here no one then even if". i am already experiencing side effects or what?
and now i typed "i am" instead of "am i". what the fuck is happening. i literally never make mistakes like that. its been only 15 minutes since i took the very first one.

lol

wont be the vortioxetine

hope it does you good

kinda defeats the purpose of a progress documentation but i would recommend actually trying to forget that you're taking it. overthinking it and over analyzing how you feel day by day of taking it can be counterproductive. not just a positive placebo but actually a deterrence if you make a negative correlation that isn't actually being caused by it at all.

i am alone, powerless, exhausted, miserable, unmotivated, i cant "just forget" anything.

i felt nausea like for 30 minutes after taking it, and then nothing. still as miserable as always and still wanting to violently kill myself.

yeah, im aware that it takes time for the meds to work, many days. but ive been here before already. its nothing but constantly starting everything over, but due to being so fucking broken, and the society expects a broken person to do so much themselves, i just cant hold on to shit, and suddenly im yet again at square one, everytime just more broken by the endless fucking suffering.

lol, do you misunderstand? i'm saying just don't rely on and expect the pill fixing you in the first day, week, or month of taking it and fixate on it before it's even had a chance to have effect. because it obviously isn't magic. nausea's a perfectly valid symptom to attribute to it, but don't blame the pill if it doesn't reverse chronic suicidal ideation and a nihilistic attitude in the first 24 hours and 30 minutes. if you preface every single negative symptom you've had for the last 10 years with 'i'm taking vortioexetine and i still...' then obviously you're going to want to give up on it before it's even had chance to establish itself in your system.

can't believe "give it its established adjustment period of 2-8 weeks before making a call on if it works or not" is somehow offensive.

changes nothing. i gave you the simplest encouragement based on fact that even depressive bias can't contradict and you choose to demean what i said to me somehow telling you to "just forget," presumably forget your own mental illness. no one on this site is gonna reply to you if they don't actually know roughly your position by personal experience. i don't have to info dump about myself in your thread to be able to give support and advice. what's the point of the i've-given-up kind of talk taken out on me if you actually haven't, since you're obviously still let down by hope and an expectation to get better. sorry about your med journey tho.

took the 6th pill. until now, no effect. i just invested a lot of time and energy in a video game run and lost, and I dont feel extremely depressed about it like i usually do, and feel like i can somewhat move on from it. i feel a bit numb. at the same time i still despise everyone and want to fucking die, and i have no motivation to do things that make life worth living, which is the main goal with this medication.

Yeah I don't see medicines helping me at all. I'm sorry. I don't know much of your story but meds don't help reality, if actual problems exist

Keep your dr informed and they'll want you to try a different one. Took a few before finding some that work for me.

Reality is that most people feel alright even with problems. Meds can help with this.

Yeah sorry I didn't mean they don't help at all. For some yeah I'm sure it helps stabilize and if so that's great. I was just wondering what OPs story was, since for me I just have a lot of actual problems that aren't easy to solve, and meds aren't helping that.
