It’s better to burn out than to fade away

Thoughts on this quote? I view suicide as the ultimate act of self-destruction, taking one's life and rebelling against existence and life itself, yet also freeing in a way, liberating oneself from the chains of life and the horror of existence, finding peace from pain and suffering in death. I alternate between wanting to go by assisted suicide/euthanasia and doing the act myself, going out in a blaze of glory and having people remember me, being immortalized forever. Sometimes I want to be forgotten; other times I want to be remembered and have made an impact on the world. Sometimes I want to be great and achieve great things; other times I want to be a nobody. I just want to destroy myself, burning hot and flying too close to the sun

I'm not sure it's even accurate to call suicide an act of self-destruction even though that's what it is on its face. The world is so evil and sick. Some people are born into impossible situations. Some made mistakes when they were young that they could take back if they could, but will never recover from.

I don't think it's rebellious for someone with stage 4 cancer to choose to ctb. It's borderline common sense.

Hmmm i think suicide is definetly a form of self destruction and it's a form that if successful can never be undone. Well with current technology :p
I mean for all the evil in the world for horrible it is. It's also where all beauty stems from >.< I mean I'm probably just in a good mood so, it's difficult to hate things.
