That the sad thing, this website is one of the very few places we can be open and brutally honest without fear. But then people start to ctb. Part of you hope that they didn't do it but other part of you feel guilty hoping that they didn't succeed. Because you know they were suffering

A familiar feeling. though I wouldn't say that I had any kind of acquaintance here. I just came across some people with very close views on things and experiences to me. They, like me, left their thoughts here. I liked their posts, they liked mine. And after some time I already see their farewell post. Sometimes it's really painfully offensive when you leave warm words when they most likely won't be read by the author.
After all, in addition to the sad feelings from what happened itself, I am also saddened by the fact that this site is essentially the only place where you can really get human warmth before leaving, which you usually don't expect from strangers and even from some of your loved ones, who, in theory, shouldn't be indifferent to you. When, for example, I just gently hinted to my parents that I was not going to live to 25, I only received threats of terrible torment in the afterlife and stern instructions that I should suffer until the end.

I personally don't feel sad to see people ctb even if I made a connection with them. Those who have ctb have managed to be in peace by preventing themselves from suffering in existence for countless decades. Why would I want somebody to be alive when they're in so much pain and could be subjected to even significantly worse pain in the future? I don't feel sad, I instead feel relief because they are now in peaceSimilar threads
