Yes and no. If I weren't ill, I wouldn't kill myself because of where I live. BUT, my country's ideals made me sick. I live in America and it is not the greatest country in the world, in fact, it is the perfect example of a catch 22. I can agree we have it easier than a poor country, but the American dream just isn't possible for everyone and those of us who don't get it are made to feel worthless and are constantly trying to figure out where we went wrong. Our healthcare is specialized, so unless you have an illness that is well documented and everyone knows the answer to, you're going to spend a lot of time and money trying to figure out what is wrong. Because everyone here thinks getting rich is an opportunity for all, we spend so much time stressing about things and working harder than necessary. I only got all these damn degrees because at one time we were told they would make us money. Now, everyone knows most degrees are useless. I am scared about the education system. I believe the plan is to eventually make it to where teachers do not need a degree, so they can justify calling us babysitters and paying us peanuts. The amount of stupid people in this country is appalling! We don't value education or knowledge here, so Americans do not understand simple math, simple grammar, or even believe in Science. You know how many Americans we have who don't know what a pronoun is?? Between the student loan debt, bad healthcare system, American dream ideology, and the denial to racism that most certainly exist in this country, this place sucks.
I think it's cool :0

I'd be happy to live in any first world country tbh
I get that. I truly do. As an American, I get that we are more privileged than a third world country. Although our problems may not be third world problems, we have our own unique set of problems. We are no longer a democracy; we are an oligarchy. America prides itself on being called a republic, but our citizens are too stupid to realize that many countries, such as Pakistan, are considered republics. Those of us who hate the flag probably do so because of its representation which is pushed by the controlling government. You have to join the military just to afford college. The mentally ill is probably at an all time high here because of the stress we live under. We're a country that goes, goes, goes, and yet most of us get nowhere. We're also a weak bunch of people, and that is due to being an entitled republic. I don't want to go into it, but there's a whole history on it that includes how we view gender, education, hard work, and racial and class disparity. It is a lie that we are so strong and beat the Brits in the Rev War and have been going strong since then. A bunch of wealthy white men coerced a bunch of poor people to fight for independence and we have been lazy and ignorant since then.

Well, I live in a shithole for sure, and if I didn't know better I'd think it's better out there but no. My fucked up brain would mess it all up no matter where I lived.

I wouldn't say I hate my country, but the area I live is full of terrible people. I stay away from them as much as I can. It definitely is a factor in wanting to die but there are many other factors. But Environment does shape behaviour for the better or the worse. Mines is the latter. Life is too darn complicated.

It is in the sense that abandoning my native country, and trapping myself in my country of exile, was the error that was most responsible for wrecking my life.

Healthcare is so abhorrent in my country that they'd sooner see me completely paralyzed than hand over the cure.

Normally Germany is a good country to live in. But not if your parents abused you for over a decade and you have extremely bad genes.
Sometimes it is really painful to watch everyone around you without extreme worrying about poverty etc.
I am thankful to live in this country. I have very good health care. Though it is partly pretty much a waste on me because I am treatment resistant.
When I see homeless people on the street I have the feeling this gonna be my future. I am too much of a wreck to organize my life.

Nah, America is probably the best possible country I could have been born in considering I'm also fat and lazy although I don't get along very well in the state I'm in (California). Each US state practically might as well be a different country.

I was born in a really really poor country when i was a teeneger i moved away to a neighbor country that is also poor but no as my old country.
Since then i have face problems as discrimination, horrible labor conditions and having to live in the bottom of society despite that i used to be on a good spot in my native land.
I feel that if my initial conditions just made stay stuck forever and they will be a burden i will carry to the grave
Let me guess, Haiti.

Yes, I dislike the vast inequality within my country. But it seems like that's everywhere, nowadays. When I was a kid, I'd dream of traveling somewhere nicer, but now I know that every place has its problems.

I can escape the country, but I can't escape the way the world is structured. I just wasn't built for this place.

Definitely, if I were rich I could live peacefully but being poor in such a bad country is like adding fuel to the fire.
I feel so repulsed by these people that I wonder if it would be different if I were introduced to another culture or I just can't stand living with the human being, girls who look you up and down and judge you in their thoughts, some living in mansions and others being practically slaves to a bad job to have food, this happens all over the world so I don't think I would be a different person from who I am today but I would definitely rather be poor in a first world country than a third world country

I think life could've been way easier in another family, society, country, everything about mine scream identity disorder. Financial problems are also related to one's cunt tree, a labourer in the north will earn more than a doctor in the south, and has much more options in his life, like what he wants to do and where he wants to spend.
