Idorus, I don't agree. Assuming you have no tolerance to sedatives, you take the N in the proper way, it is absorbed properly, make sure you take a very high dose you will lose consciousness and not feel a thing. There can be rare complications like someone on pain medications who is suffering serious pain (pentobarbital can cause hyperalgesia), but once you're out you're out. A massive dose should ensure there is no suffering. There is no 100 %.Consciousness is not "all or nothing." We can be more or less awake, more or less conscious. And just because patients cannot move does not mean they are unconscious — consciousness does not reside in our muscles.
