I wanted to prescribe meto but the doctor gave itopride.
I found out that it blocks dopamine, but I think it's a little different from meto.

Mechanism of action
Itopride acid hydrochloride is an agent for improving the digestive tract.
1) Acetylcholine esterase Inhibitory Effect and Antagonistic Dopamine D2 Receptor
2) It promotes gastric exercise in dose-dependent manner, and also promotes gastric emptying ability. Dose-dependent vomiting

The recommended AEs after meto all end in -ine, like cimetidine, ratidine, etc.

Does itoprode work on the same dopamine receptor as meto?

Yeah, it's a dopamine antagonist.
Well if number one on your list exactly matches meto, sounds like it will do exactly what meto is intended to do.
