  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

This title may sound like I revel in hearing about how many others are depressed or suicidal, but I do not mean it in this way. I mean it in the sense that I finally feel safe here, whether I'm feeling actively suicidal or not, and even if no one really talks or responds to me, I still feel understood, not judged, not necessarily 'worried' about in that 'toxic' way it seems that close ones do. I know they try, but they will never really understand. I legitimately feel happier when I log off, even just reading what others have to say-- in the strangest way, it feels like a community, like I've been able to get everything out that I need to. I will say, I'm not happy that we're in this predicament, of course, but it's better to have feel somewhat relieved (at times) and suicidal than depressed and suicidal. This is, strangely, my therapy. It actually helps more than any therapy or medication ever has. I think I am just typing out to the void, but does anyone else feel this way? Like, relieved you can finally speak openly?

Absolutely. Not strange at all. I feel the same. When I'm sick and tired of the mainstream narrative of "life is beautiful no matter what, and if you don't enjoy it, it's your fault", I come back here. I feel understood. These guys get it.

Not strange, no at all.
I came back after a very bad meltdown, and this place relieved me more than any other site or thing.

Oh, please, mama bear is here to make everyone feel better. This website is full of cubs needing hugs and sweet words. If anything, we help each other feel connected and having some purpose. This place is like a decrepit shelter that has everything to be depressing, but instead becomes cozy because the people in here have big hearts and they know how to use it.

Mama's so glad to be part of this. Everyone gets hugs, kisses and cuddles. Everyone deserves it and Mama bear loves sharing them. *hugs, kisses, smiles and all the good stuff* 🧸

Same. I joined pretty recently and I fell very relieved since I joined. Like I have a place where I can talk about this stuff. This alone has made me feel much better in my day to day life.
