Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I've been putting it off for years because the idea of the driving test honestly freaks me out. Being watched and judged while I'm driving makes me really nervous, and I feel like I'd probably panic or mess up because of it. The thing is, I actually need a license to find a job, since it's required for so many positions, so I think I should give it a try. But since I don't have much money, I can't really afford to fail a bunch of times.

Has anyone here gone through something similar? How did you deal with it, and what was your experience like?

Try it!! You won't regret it!! I got mine, but have trouble driving due to fear. I'm trying to overcome it somehow. But everything comes down to practicing and getting used to it. It's important for you to push through it. You can do it!

I got my liscence last year when I was 20, failed the first time for not doing head checks, it wasn't a big deal though, just had to wait a month to retry. I've always had bad anxiety, especially social anxiety, and it was nerve racking having another person just watching you the whole time but, they didn't really talk unless I asked them a question, so I kinda forgot they were even there halfway through. Now driving is pretty much my favorite activity at this point, I couldn't imagine going back to a life without the freedom of owning my own car.

So I'd say do it, seeing as your on this site, I doubt you have much to lose anyways.
(Also I highly recommend watching videos on your state/country's road skills test before taking it for real)
