For me, it is the risk I take.

Now obviously all of us hopefully being adults here, much like anything in life, there is risk and obviously meeting up with anyone in real life from the Internet will have a risk to it.

It's no different (in terms of risk or people turning out to be someone different) from meeting a date or a guy/woman from tinder, okcupid, etc. etc.

I for one keep my eyes peeled in the partners mega-thread in SS, because I'm actually wanting/needing a partner, and yes I am well aware of the risks. As should anyone be, and that's their choice.

Another nightmare scenario besides your partner being a potential psycho/serial killer. What if you agree on a suicide pact, but you happen to survive and your partner CTB? You'll probably be arrested on suspicion of murder and go to jail...

And then you have the situation of survival instincts X2 with a partner...

Definitely not safe...could be a scammer just looking to rob you or something. I could understand if you wanted to do it with someone you loved, but otherwise i think suicide is a personal choice and should be done alone without outside interference or anything. If you need someone cheering you on while you do it, maybe you aren't really ready to do it.

I agree. This from a safety perspective is best done alone. In a perfect world assisted suicide with a doctor would be ideal if the person didn't want to be alone but that will probably never happen.

In the Netherlands, if you manage to get through all procedures, this is exactly how assisted suicide works.
It doesn't take place in a hospital either but in your own home.

Yea... I've gone back and forth on the idea of finding a partner too, but more than likely I'll just CTB solo

I had one attempt at partnering and got fucked over in the end so based on my own personal experience, I would say that while the idea of partnering is appealing for so many reasons, the probably of finding the RIGHT partner appears to be very low while the probability of encountering a lot of bullshit, or worse, is very high. Conclusion: I wouldn't consider partnering in the future.

I gave it some serious thought, but the recent threads about people using the partners Megathread to look for relationships (wtf???) made it clear that it's just another way to add chaos to my suicide. No, thanks:)

Finding a partner is risky, there are definitely like minded people but there are also cops and distasteful people. Hopefully we can find someone who will help us be more comfortable passing away

I would love a partner, and take n together, laugh and spend a vacation time in a hotel.
I'd be down. I'm looking for that
