Help Is anyone here on Mirtazapine?

I'm currently taking 30 mg of Mirtazapine. With medications I've tried before, they seem to work well at the beginning, but after a while the benefits wear off and my symptoms return. I'm worried this may be happening again

That makes sense, everyone can react differently. If you're comfortable sharing, in what ways did it make you feel worse?

I use to be on this medication for ages and it was rather crap tbh and coming off it took a awhile.
After awhile it was not working well so they kept upping the dose.
I eventually stopped taking it as my weight ballooned because of it which is a side effect of it.
Will never take it again because of the rapid weight gain it had for me.
As for sleep it helped with that part slightly.

I'm a lot more irritable. Small inconveniences annoy me more. I'm actually getting mad at video games sometimes lol. My depression might be worse too but it's situational so idk.

I think Mirtazapine is usually only useful when given in conjunction with other SSRI or SNRI. At least otherwise it is known to have quite weak effects if any at all. I only was given it in combination with Sertralin, Citalopram and others anyway and was told it was to boost the other medication's effect. It still didn't really work for me back then.
Are you taking it in the morning or evening?

What sucks as a man for all the SSRI and SNRI (not mirtazapin, but the usual meds that are combined with it) is the erectile dysfunction they all cause in the majority of male users (except for Bupropion as far as I know, but the antidepressant effect of it also is weak).

In the end you need to work out if it works for you as these things tend to differ widely from person to person and no one can give you a definitive answer on whether a certain medication (combo) will work for you personally.
