not sure which one yet, not too sure if the difference is big regarding brands and types of handguns either, so i apologize if that generally should be considered.

from the information ive gathered, i can easily access a .22 caliber handgun (not sure which one as stated) from my local gun range after some safety precaution courses.

I would also like to apologize if this question has been answered a million times already, im not too familiar with the site UI and how it works as of now

ANY SORT OF HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED, THANK YOU :)

No, highly advise getting a stronger caliber. While a .22 may get the job done, it would likely be a drawn out death with the ultimate cause of death being blood loss. This is assuming you are not found soon after shooting yourself, if you are then you will live the rest of your life with debilitating brain damage making your current situation even worse than it already is.

For CTB by gun I would advise using a shotgun (20 gauge or lower) with the barrel being in your mouth pointed at your brainstem. This would result in an immediate loss of consciousness and a quick death.

Hopefully this never has to happen and that you are able to workout whatever you are going through right now. There are plenty of resources and people you can talk to (myself included) on this website. However, you ultimately have the final decision as to whether to continue or not.

What about consciousness? Whats the probability (if there even is one) of losing it before actually feeling any pain? Would the cause of death even matter at that point?

I know this sounds silly, but what if im terrified at the thought of my body being mutilated in such ways? Ive seen clips, doesnt look very pleasant. I might be able to get my hands on 9mm though!

Appreciate it, truly. I have to say, the way everyone here treats one another really makes me smile. Thanks for being kind! :)

Not 100% certain but I would say it depends on the area of the brain you shoot. Since a .22 bullet is so small its damage is going to be pretty unique to the area of the brain it hits. For example if you shot your frontal lobe (responsible for reasoning, attention, and problem-solving) then you may be semi-conscious through the whole ordeal until your death.

I totally understand, that is why my preferred method is through SN or, if I build up the courage, hanging. Those two methods if done right are relatively quick and painless. I don't want to put anybody through the process of cleaning up my brains, potentially giving them ptsd, and my parents having to see me in that state. Rather I would prefer to die a "pretty death" where my body isn't mutilated. Also 9 mm isn't recommended either. For handguns the lowest caliber I would go is a .45 acp.

Everybody here has their reason for having an account on this site. No reason to be mean, we're all in the same boat!
