not too late at all! think about it this way, if you don't go to uni and continue doing what ur doing you're going to be in the same spot 4yrs from now anyway possibly asking yourself the same question. may as well try to go to uni now. there's a lot of people who don't go to uni right away after secondary school. nobody that is worth while will judge you for being 22 and going. there will most likely be a lot of people your age or older in your classes as well.

It's definitely not too late, you won't be that much older than your peers to even look out of place and even if you were, there is the odd older student and it's no big deal. There was a guy of 40+ when I was there and no one batted an eyelid. If you wanna do it go for it!

It is never too late to go to university, you are still young and it is quite common to meet older people in many careers, I'm 22 and I'm usually the youngest in the class, when I entered for the first time I was 17 and in my same group there were people from 18 to 24 years old.

College is expensive and there are many reasons why many don't get into college right away. In the modalities with more lax schedules, you will find many older people, since these schedules are designed for them, either online or in person. It's only too "late" when you already have a stable job and extensive work experience, because it is more difficult to carry out studies and you don't really need it even though it is something that can help you, many people consider that it is not worth it and prefer to focus on their work.

I'm transferring to uni from CC this spring, if I don't CTB before then that is. I'm 27. Ngl stuff like this makes me feel pretty shitty, more than I already do, wanting to CTB and all. I'm so fucking far behind in life.

Absolutely not too late. In my country 22 is barely considered a late entry. People in their 50s go back to university, you'll do great.

I had to leave university early because of mental health but i went back when i was 27. It's not too late and you're still in that age range that you can relate to your peers. People will care more about who you are as a person than your age so don't let that get in your head and dissuade you. And like others said, there are people there of all ages, so know you wouldn't be alone in that.

I went away to college at 18 and got too depressed and suicidal to do it. It felt tragic because I had been looking forward to college so much and expected to love it.

I ended up starting school again around age 30 and it was a much better experience. Still really hard with depression and anxiety, but soooo much more doable than when I was 18. I felt like I got more out of it as well, cause I knew how to manage adult responsibilities and was a bit more self-assured than I was at 18. Still not very self-assured but a lot of progress for me.

There is pressure to do things in the order that most people do, but it doesn't mean that it's the best way for everyone. It's okay to take your time, explore different things, and do what feels right for you.

It is evident that if you enter 4 years you will not be with people of your same generation (mostly), is it a problem? I don't know, it depends on you, because I remember the case of a person who had entered years later, he was more adult than the others, he was not separated or anything, but he himself said that he saw them as children, because he had already been through things of that age
In labor terms, they may question it, considering the current absurd competition, if he is able to graduate within the corresponding years and make enough contacts, there would be no problem.
Looking at it from one point of view, it's good, you've lived longer, you'll have more clarity on what career to choose, apart from being more mature than when you were 18
but if you are worried you could first study a technician, work and then go for engineering

i dont think its too late! i was a bit older in my undergrad because i changed majors and my mom passed after my first year and i had to take time off for financial reasons. even so i wasn't even one of the oldest students so i think at 22 you'll fit right in

I havent been (Age 25) but i have seen plenty people my age and far older at the various colleges and universities ive visited for certain things.

22 is perfect, extra maturity will go a long way.

No. I was 28 when I did my second degree. Most students were 18. As to whether it would be better to just get a job. That's tricky to answer. Depends on what you're studying probably. I think I should have gone for apprenticeships and learnt a trade. I'm in such a stupid position now because of what I chose to study. Still- we never really know. I wish you luck- whatever you decide to do.
