In other words, legitimately and illegitimately? I can reecho the statement that it is notoriously difficult to get benzos prescribed, especially if you ever admit a history of drug abuse.

Opiates, you might as well give yourself cancer if you want a doctor to even consider it. Something like oxycodone in the U.S. given for wisdom tooth extractions would only be given here if you had cancer pain/lung cancer.

Why is this? I heard benzos used to be prescribed routinely until a guy in 2004 sued the NHS for negligence. He didn't know anything about benzos, got prescribed them often and then got terrible withdrawals.
