• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I wish there was a list of things you should take care of before CTB.

My mind is really foggy right now so it's hard to think about what I need to do. But I have time and sometimes I have bursts of energy.

I need to do things like delete all my phone/computer data, throw away or donate stuff that I don't want people to see after I'm gone.

And I then I have to spend a lot of time researching my CTB method. And I have to make my suicide note…

I don't know what else I need to do. If anyone has any recommendations of what I can add to my list that would be cool.

I just want to make things easy for my family after I die. I'm not superwoman so I know I can't do everything but I want to at least try if I can.

  1. Make sure your finances / belongings are in order.
  2. Review beneficiaries for things like retirement accounts that you might have.
  3. Make a list of your logins for important accounts and devices, just in case loved ones need to access them for 2FA or something.
  4. Compile a list of important documents like your birth certificate, passport, etc.
  5. Prepare an obituary, if you wish, so that loved ones don't have to write one themselves
  6. Make a list of important contacts you have.
  7. Choose a funeral home. Make arrangements for how you want your funeral conducted
Obviously you don't need to do everything here. I for one won't be doing many of these things because many of them aren't applicable to me. I also don't care about what funeral arrangements are made for myself nor do I care to share my contacts. I'll be nice enough to give them device passkeys and account passwords just in case they need to access them though.
