You do have a reason, being afraid is a reason itself. I'm in the same vessel. I'm afraid of the pain and the awareness of doing it. I live as uselessly and as pointlessly for meantime until a fatal disease or natural death takes me.There's nothing wrong with being scared.... Your body has a built-in survival instinct which can be hard to overcome... and there's always the possibility that things can go astray and make things worse... so it's probably a good idea to respect your fear and don't rush an attempt.
It's ok. We all are. You have every right to be. For whatever reason, a good life was taken from you.

If you are dead, you can't make more babies, and if you cant make babies, your species will die off. It's an oversimplification, but hopefully you get the idea. Millions of years of evolution has ensured that animals survive long enough to make more babies. There isn't an off switch for this, it doesnt go away as we get older. So it stays hard wired in our brains. You're afraid, because evolution made you afraid. Theres nothing wrong with you for this, it's now just a hurdle you must overcome. Wishing you the strength to do do what you feel must be done!
