I took this one yesterday and it reminds me of this forum, like driving into it...

I saw the most beautiful solid white bird. It was large like an Eagle, perched on a spooky looking tall thin tree beside the road. It was incredible to see right at sunset, and words do not do it! The white bird flew off his perch and went right in front of my windshield, like he meant to and knew what it was doing. Truly amazing

I like how the sky looks in this one.

It was interesting night. There was nobody anywhere, no stores, no people, and I did not see any other vehicles for a few hours.
I slept off the side of the road somewhere last night and woke up to an extremely pleasant view in the morning. It was too dark to see when I went to sleep.
I saw a coyote run across the road one time last night, and a huge elk or moose something! I was actually really VERY close to crashing into it. The elk was just standing there in the middle of the road.. and he did not even move until after I had already braked and swerved around it. Thank God I swerved correctly, and this was the scariest part.
There was a lot of ice all over the road once I got out in the country high in the mountains, and snow banks, a lot hazards like cliffside roads, etc... It was really nice.
I have to admit being, not scared exactly, but kind of worry for a minute last night because no cell phone service or people or anything anywhere.
I wanted to update this thread when I stopped for the night, but I had no service was all.
