I think if they believe you are deliveratelydoing it will kill yourself they do not need your permission to place an IV. There is laso the standard duty-of-care that an ambsulance or hospital has.

Update my pre is a dark yellow I am making progress no eating or drinking anymore. Seeing that gave my hope
In the past I tried not drinking nor eating as a method out of desperation. I do hope it works for you though. I got as far as 39 hours without any eating or drinking. I felt so exhausted and thirsty.

I did eat and drink something yesterday but I tried to keep it to where it would make it wworse
All this no drinking, then drinking again, and that twice already shows that it's not serious. If you're really serious, every time you're thirsty, drink water with lots of salt dissolved. NO fresh water at all. That will make you unconscious fast. To prepare it, dissolve as much salt as you can in a hot water. But, honestly, I expect you to find a reason not to do it. And then report that you had another glass of water.
If you want attention, I'm sure people will give it to you without this performance. I myself will be happy to do it.

It was pretty sound advice to be fair. A thread on fasting to death which is actually a daily update on simply eating and drinking in small amounts is not too far away from a thread about dying of old age as a method and logging the minutiae. Makes no sense.

I almost didn't drink for 3 days and basically had to go to the ER and they had to IV fluids into me. The funny thing about this is it wasn't even intentional. I had pretty bad diarrhea and my dissociation can't seem to recognize when my body is hungry and thirsty a lot of the time.
All I'm going to say before this thread probably gets locked eventually is that tbh you're better off doing a bunch of other methods this site talks about. It's possible to die from it but you literally have to like lock yourself somewhere for basically three days and it takes a lot of willpower cause severe dehydration actually is painful and really sucks. The only reason it wasn't horrible for the elderly patients who signed up for it was cause the nurses gave them a lot of pain pills to help with it.

She does sound it. First, this hard to believe idea of dying from not drinking. Then two updates on how she drank a glass of water, and then drank and ate. Come on, people. Isn't it clear what she/he is doing? I find it quite insulting, tbh.
No one knows, but have you never failed a method? If she's just trying but succumbing and telling the truth here, you guys are rude to a person in distress, like you have never experienced it. Otherwise, you can chose to ignore if you think this is a troll, but I wouldn't take any chances.
OP, try a faster method, I had the stomach flu once and the thirst from puking every ten minutes was forcing me to drink even though I'd go puke again immediately. I think it would be impossible to do this on purpose.
