Haha, I agree with you on your last part, and I'm from Spain too! The flats here are very poorly built, you can hear everything, and there are many uneducated people, who can make your life miserable. Spain is one of the countries in Europe where the highest % of people live in flats, the majority of Europeans live in houses. While in Spain 65% live in flats, in countries like Ireland only 8% live in flats, in the United Kingdom 15%, in the Netherlands and Belgium 22%, in France 34%... that is, the vast majority of European live in houses, the opposite to Spain.
I had a neighbor who made noise at all hours, day and night, he created me a trauma with the tremendous noise... after that experience, I have lived in another couple of floors, but then I noticed that any noise made by the neighbors bothered me very much, from the trauma that the previous neighbor gave to me. In the end, the only possible solution was to buy a house, even if I had to leave the city.
If you have that possibility, I would recommend that you do the same, there are houses in villages that can be cheaper than a flat in the city. In my experience, living in a house gives you much more peace and tranquility. For those of us who have suffered this type of problem, the difference is abysmal, it gives you a much better quality of life.
