Discussion If You Became a Ghost?

If you became a ghost or some kind of force after death, would you help people, observe without interference, or take revenge on the living? What would you do and which would you look forward to the most? This is a just-for-fun question. I don't think we become ghosts

I would probably be a demon but i would help people...yes...
I wouldn't like to be reincarnated...no reincarnation please
The spirit realm is a lonely place tho..its cold and you cannot talk or communicate like normal humans

There is alot of evidence on ghots tho..from literal sightings, magnetic/infrared imaging, recordings

I'd be more than tempted to do some haunting myself. It might be fun to maybe make some mischief and influence politics. I'd guess nothingness since that's where the science points. There's no reason to believe I'm any more special than anyone else but that would be cool. But no one knows the real answer and neither do I. All I can say is that I was born and I could not have predicted that. I also could never have fathomed how much I'd suffer in this life.

I would visit all the places in the world and watch people live... thinking with sadness that at some point I was also alive and could feel the touch of others... I think I would be a suicidal ghost who wants to be alive haha

I'd haunt my ex, but only in a really petty way because it would be funny, like moving things around her room for no apparent reason. I'd probably haunt my brother, reminding him to brush his teeth since he's horrible at that. I'd definitely haunt Dick Cheney because somehow that fucking ghoul is still alive and kicking. I'd look forward to that one and haunting my ex the most, because I'm petty and heartbreak hurts. Eventually though, after years of hijinks and pranks and maybe causing the occasional war or two, I know it would just hurt. Fun question, but I hope to god or whatever's up there that it doesn't happen.

What kind of powers do we get?

This is a tough one. Part of me wants to go full dark vengeance on "bad people"TM, I would be like Light Yagami, I might go crazy with the power if I suddenly get to make life and death decisions about people that do bad things to other people. Expect pretty horrible things to happen.

Another part of me, would want to be a reaper of a different kind. I'd like to bring peace to people in this forum. If someone is trapped in a hopeless situation, and they want to ctb but can't, I would visit and help them. Give them a painless death. Kind of like scp-4999 but with a more active role in people's death. Although sitting with people that are dying and otherwise alone also sounds like something I'd like to take on as an eternal job.

Last part of me, would probably go to people I loved in life and just make beneficial things happen to them. Or maybe I would just haunt cats. At least cats can see ghosts, so I could look after cats that are lost or in need. Sounds busy, I think I'll defer cat ghost to someone else and take the scp-4999 job.

Of course I would like to be a ghost but only if I have powers like moving things and making my presence felt to some people. Besides the usual other worldly powers of course.

It would be no fun being a passive ghost. It would get boring after a while but being an active ghost has many fun possibilities :)

I would love to be a ghost, i imagine it like a spectator mode of living, and ive always liked to simply watch things happend wherer that is the quickly moving and changing humans or the solemn slowness of nature, i would have so much seeing everything whit out being involved in anything
