If SN is reliable and painless, why are you guys not taking it?

Genuine question. I'm reading about SN and giving it thought. It seems to knock you down from low blood pressure and no reports of pain other than some headache at most. If so, in the absence of N, how comes more ppl here haven't taken this route? is there a catch? some members say a lot how they are only here because of no reliable method. If SN has so high chances of ctb, why don't you?

It's not that pleasant at all. You feel sick and vomit and have to force down multiple glasses of extremely salty solution. Headache, rapid heartbeat, difficulty breathing, possibly other symptoms too. It's not as pleasant as gas which I've tried but unfortunately failed. It's worse than partial which I've also failed. N really is the gold standard

I know there are some who did it. But I am curious as to why the others members on here don't resort to it. Seems to be second to N as pain free. I would like to hear everyone's reasons. It requires some introspection and being honest with oneself first.

(as a side note, I am considering it but I have some hesitation about the rapid heartbeats - I hate feeling hyper. Seems contradictory to the fact that it knocks you down. )

Just hundreds of souls took it at least, but many people enter and prepare the method (celebs included) without participating so who knows how many thousands have go out with SN

It might or might not be painless, depending on what you think about nausea, but low blood pressure and tachycardia feel horrible, at least to me. I've had those symptoms occasionally since early adulthood, and I associate them with the utter terror I felt at the time. Honestly, it's probably some mild/moderate vasovagal twitch and entirely benign, but at 18/19 I didn't know that. I didn't understand why I could be fine one minute and the next feel like I was going to pass out, my heartbeat hammering in my ears. I really don't want to go out feeling like a freaked-out college freshman who thinks he's about to die.

I also don't really trust pills and poisons. I have met so many people over the years who tried to end their lives by ingesting something, sometimes making many tries. Needless to say, all the people I've talked to on the subject were still alive. I've read that the odds of completing suicide with medication overdoses in particular are about 2.5%, and that's not even counting the attempts that weren't recorded because the attempter didn't go to a hospital.

To be fair, SN does sound like it's in a totally different league than the "classic" bottle of acetaminophen/paracetamol. I just want nothing to do with poisoning.

(PSA our "live television audience:" Do NOT try to OD on acetaminophen. That is a terrible, terrible idea. If you really want to die slowly of liver failure, go be alcoholics for 40 years instead. At least they pump your stomach less.)

Practically every other thread is someone asking how to obtain SN in their country. You can't walk in and buy it at the grocery. The packages are always getting stuck in customs and orders being canceled.

Additionally, the protocol requires prescription meds that people don't know how to attain. There are ways to access them on the darknet but look at the sticky thread with the steps... most aren't savvy enough to perform those technical configurations.

We read about SN failures due to someone not following the regimen and it reinforces the importance of using those additional drugs.

People die in a variety of ways, same as they lived. I have SN but not the other drugs so I doubt the effectiveness of drinking it. I'd rather a less peaceful method that carries a higher chance of success - like drowning.

I'm just waiting until my money runs out. Some are waiting for others to die. Some are trying to get help.

People are different. Some have access to guns in the absence of SN. Some only have access to rope. Some are just afraid: of pain, of those they leave behind, of what comes after they die.

Besides, how do you quantify "more people?"

If you don't know how many already took it, how can you assert there should be more?

Lots of people have gone out via this method I think. It seems to be very popular on here. Many countries restrict it now though. I expect some people's living circumstances make it difficult for them to order it and receive it undetected.

Some people seem nervous of the police getting involved. I'm not sure how realistic it is that they would. It isn't illegal in most places. I imagine there MIGHT be more chance of it being intercepted if the person is already on the mental illness radar of the authorities but I don't know. I DO FULLY expect it to be even more restricted in future though.

Plus, like other people have said- the protocol with antiemetics can be difficult to obtain. And people report varying levels of pain/discomfort. It's a poisonous chemical after all! I think- even for those who have it- it's still pretty scary.

Some of us, that might have obtain it, are not ready yet, got second thoughs since they have it at hand, some plan on certain time in future, some try to gathet everything, some try to hold on as long as they can. Every person propably has different reason.

I am reading all the comments and carefully considering it. I do believe that in the absence of N, I will have to take my chances with SN eventually. Nausea I can bear. Tachycardia is what scares me. Will propranolol keep my heartbeats down? Luckily no risk of being found, so I would probably ctb...

I'm pretty sure that if people could very easily access it then you wouldn't read of as many people on here considering more horrible methods. We do live in this pro suffering society that restricts suicide method options after all and makes them purposely so inaccessible.

Deading yourself is not easy right? People have gun but still not shoot himself even if he wants to dead. Same for sn people have want to die but not easy. When ready and ready you dead yourself by hang jump tall house. Easy.

Omg. Idk how people blow their brains out, or jump, or drown. I reached incredible levels of hell, yet I can't even picture myself doing any of those.
SN though, I am warming out to the thought. If I get rid of the tachycardia fear. And now I read the side effects of metoclopra...how do you call the antiemetic? it can give diarrhea. This is not how I want to be found :( I wonder if thoughts like these prevent the others on here from using this method.

I would do, I mean there is a reason as to why so many people wish to obtain it, and to me it sounds much more preferable to many of the other methods, it's a reliable poison after all and I believe that it would be easier to overcome the SI with a method like SN rather than one of the more brutal methods like hanging and jumping.

Between acquiring the SN and an antiemetic (I think you need an Rx for this) the fasting, it seems like there is a lot of room for failure as well as having to wait for the drugs to kick in, just a lot of steps. After I researched it, I realized it's not my first choice for those reasons.

@SourceEnergy, I also fear the tachycardia. I had the most terrifying panic attack of my life several months ago, and my ridiculously fast heart beat during the attack was the #1 scariest aspect.

The PPH now says propranolol isn't necessary for the SN regimen; but I'll still be taking it for the sake of my personal comfort anyway. 100%

Also, to answer your original Q:
Why haven't I used SN yet?
1.) I'm still working to acquire the necessary meds (antiemetic, benzos)
2.) I am also waiting to receive some lab equipment & additional chemicals to perform some tests on the SN I have, as well as maybe getting some from IC to test alongside it. Also, NaNO3 for comparison tests. I'm just waiting for these things to arrive and trying to figure out if I need to order additional supplies.
3.) My boyfriend owns his own business, so he comes home whenever he wants, and he almost never leaves except to go to work. I will have to carefully plan my ctb and hope like hell I won't be found too soon. This is a huge obstacle for me. I'm far more fearful of being found and "saved" than any brief discomfort SN could bring me.

I can't help on the CCS thing. No clue who that source is, though I'm tempted to test it as well, just for the sake of everyone else. But I don't know

There's essentially a constant flow of users through this place. Many do take SN, and die. The frequent faces you see are typically people who aren't quite ready to CTB, so they stick around here to get support and help others. FYI, you keep asking for sources but it looks like your messages are closed. Publically posting sources is against the rules, so if people can't dm you they can't give you sources.
