I'm a white guy and love chunky black women (not to get too pornographic). I'm also socially anxious and probably quasi-autistic, and live in one of the whitest cities in N America, so it's irrelevant, but I wouldn't condemn yourself for not being white. I'm a tall 31-year old white male and think East Asians look on average better than Westerners, less hair-loss, clearer skin, and slim, also dress better. There's always some other group of people to wish you were a part of.

I'm Black and used to wish I were white. Not because I thought white people are superior, but because I had a lot of interests that weren't "Black enough," didn't listen to enough hip-hop, and didn't use African American Vernacular English. Nowadays, I don't necessarily wish I were white (except in my worst moments), but I am SO FUCKING TIRED OF THE RACISM. I'm tired of worrying about getting shot by the cops. I am not racist by any sense of the word; I love all people. I do, however, wish I was white. I feel white, I have "white" interests. Can I identify as white?

Not sure why it's so important for you to "be" white.
You can identify/perceive yourself as white. Getting others on board may be more difficult...

Not sure that programming is exclusively a white interest. Neither am I sure how you can tell that someone is white by the way they draw.
