I was abused in a psych ward and locked in a cellar and left there for a day and drugged all because I cried because the nurse practitioner insulted me. They locked me in a thing called a seclusion room. No bed. No water. No toilet. Nobody to talk to. NOTHING. Locked in a room with nothing for an entire day. I went crazy and am severely traumatized. Has this happened to anyone else? Being locked in a seclusion room?

I was also isolated, but I always had a hospital bed – it was just a kind of monitoring room. I was abused in germany psychiatric ward.

You can share your trauma on reddit r/antipsychiatry, or if you are a woman r/antipsychiatrywomen or r/therapyabuse. I think r/wedeservebetter is also critical but against the whole "health" system, especially gynecology.

What happened to you is a human rights violation. You should report this to human rights organizations, even if you don't get a response. It's also a good idea to report it as a crime to the police online.

I filed more than one criminal complaints in 2025, but unfortunately, I have not received any compensation or the care assistance support I need.
I am a victim of hate crime in my environment because I am poor, have disabilities/many say I am ugly and I am a woman. I suffer since years from physical health issues but have no access to real help because the doctors in my area are classist and ableist. They don't want to help poor people. I only get 560 euro montly as government aid and have my own apartment but just because my father helped me 2020 once. But he wanted to attack me so I needed to cut him off. I am depended again since then on my mother who is also abusive, both are very ill people. I reported them too, because of them I suffered a very bad life. I was always poor, could not make any friends, have not gotten any support. Others just bullyed me into isolation, because they think I am ugly and r'tard or they stigmatized me as mentally ill. All of this is simply discrimination. I hope such people get what they deserve, many of them are just nazis and believe they are better because they are born from rich parents.

I was abused too but sadly there is no recourse available to someone who suffers that kind of mistreatment.

i've never been locked in solitary confinement while hospitalized
but i certainly wasn't treated properly, nor were the other patients
there was a form you could fill out if you were being abused by the staff
some sort of legal thing that they were required to pass on
but you were only allowed to fill out the form in pen
and, ironically, we were not allowed to have pens
