It's on the other side of the country lol so I can't go there rn, but I looked at photos of it on Google
So you would cross the country just to jump off this bridge? I think you should change your strategy, she is probably being watched.
Where I live, all the buildings have anti-ctb windows and air conditioning, even access to the roof is prohibited and difficult to get, even difficult for those who work with antennas.

"She is probably being watched." Wdym by that? The site?
I mean there must be someone watching the bridge to prevent CTB.
being a place that has "got famous", anyone who sees it will call the emergency services
sorry, in English she is used for people and it for objects, in Portuguese there is no such distinction.
It felt like I was talking about someone.

Oh okay. No worries. In a language I know, the pronouns sound the same, so I get why someone would be confused. I don't think there's anyone watching it
my suicide method list!

  1. SN
  2. H2S (I would love a chemical death)
  3. Hanging
  4. Jumping (I have a high risk of surviving because there arent any places high enough around me)
  5. Knives and cuts (Overbleeding or stabbing any vital parts)
  6. Getting ran over (I dont want to traumatize anybody)
I would love a chemical death as well because I like chemistry and pharmacology

Yes but if you drive there at night and stop in the middle of the bridge with no time for SI thinking about it then you should be good. If you stop before the bridge with your lights on and start walking then it can be a problem

This is basically garunteed to work from that height. You would have to be the unluckiest person in the world to survive that.

Do cars cross the bridge? If so, and you overdo it with stimulants, you may, for example, get hit by a car. I'm talking about such typically stupid situations. You also cannot allow yourself to be completely cut off from thinking. Sometimes stimulants can also have an even worse effect on your mood. For example, if you smoke marijuana when you are in a very bad mood, it can make your mood even worse. Everything with limit.
Yeah they do. I'm planning to ctb with a partner and they want to drink before jumping to lessen the fear. I heard that drinking increases your chances of survival thought because apparently it relaxes you so you withstand the impact of the fall better…

The higher (with a full unobstructed drop to impact) you jump from the higher the probability of death. High enough and its practically impossible not to be dead on impact but it still takes a hell of a lot of courage to step off the edge that high up. I don't think its a method I could do.

I wouldn't consider that at all. The probability of your survival is low, regardless of whether you drink alcohol or not :). All stimulants are only intended to potentially help you take a step towards the abyss. The fact that you're doing it with another person is an advantage (I guess). If you trust each other, it will be easier for you to do it together.

I want to jump but I'm scared of failing and getting paralyzed. I just saw the Beachy Head thread and heard about a guy who landed on a ledge and survived, but got disabled. I plan to jump from a bridge over a valley (450 ft) and I heard that it's fatal, but I don't want to take any chances. What if on the off chance I survive and am paralyzed? This is my biggest fear, it's the worse outcome possible…
It depends on the surface you are falling, 450 ft is enough, but if you fall on the three there is a little chance of surviving.

I'm s***t scared to jump to my death. Though my biggest challenge is access, a tall building skyscraper or bridge. I currently live in a remote area in a small town as opposed to the big city with roof top parkings at malls.

Those who say terminating your own life is an easy way out... There's nothing easy about this. I sometimes wish someone equally in a lot of excruciating pain could hold my hand and do it with me, that's how f***ng terrifying this dying thing is for me.

I admire you, it takes a lot of courage.

The only place I could jump from is 70 feet, because "easily accessible", so I could go impulsively... I don't have the gut to drive to go somewhere.

I think with that height it should work, with or without alcohol. Only thing to check is not to fall on threes or anything like that. Good thing you have a partner. I am very sorry there is not a smoother way for you and all of us, and very sorry you have to resort to end things and feel like you can't go on.
