I want to die. I am ready. I did think about it a lot. I need a way to die? Something not to scary or painful. Are there any good ways to die in a bathtub? Or anything relaxing? Something fast and easy. I've done cutting before. I heard doing it in a bath makes it easier to do.

I've recently seen 2 news articles of 2 people who were using their phones in the bath whilst being on charge, and they were dropped in the water. This could of been staged suicide to make it look accidental, or simply just an accident. I doubt it would be painless, would probably be very painful.

I thought this looked easy too when I saw the article, and I read that someone on this site tried this and it didn't work. SO I'd be scared that it's not reliable and that it might damage a person without killing them. It does seem like an easy way to go though if it works.

The linked article leaves out some critical details. There's a much more complete article about the incident here on CNN. The teen died because she touched a frayed extension cord that the phone was plugged into, not the phone itself. Phones only charge at 5VDC and a fraction of an amp. Not nearly enough to be deadly.

Was the water a factor at all in this? Id oknow of an electrician friend who touched a live wire and who was shocked and not killed. Several searches on the internet say you will be shocked and might be killed from this- it seems like shocked is more likely based on these searches.

As a electrician geek I doubt this would work as usb plugs only put put 1-4 amps so wouldn't be enough to kill anyone. However dropping a toaster turned on into the tub would be fatal but modern electrics would trip the power as soon as the electric touches water . Rcd- residual current device. Clever technology but not clever if someone wants to cbt

So why did this one girl get electrocuted in the story above if it doesn't work most of the time?

The water would be a factor if the plumbing is connected to ground, which is somewhat common, especially in older houses with metal pipes. It all depends on how much of the current gets conducted through your body on its way to ground. I've been shocked a number of times and I'm still here... But I will say having experienced it and lived, it would not be the way that I choose to go. Definitely not peaceful.

From what I read, the electrocution method doesn't really seem to be recommended for ctb. Sounds like an awful way to try to ctb and I read that it could potentially lead to damage. I just don't really think that ctb is easy. If it is, then I would be long gone. Of course I wish that it wasn't so difficult to leave this world. All that anyone can do if they wish to leave is do their own research into methods and decide what is best for themselves.

I don't want to do anything like that. I just need to find a way. The one thing I found I don't have. I wanted to do the car in the garage I can't get a car

Ketamine - there is one death reported of someone who mistakenly passed out on Ketamine in bathtub. Or you could try Benzos. This may or may not work, but if it doesn't work then no harm done. It's just if you pass out in teh right way and don't realise you are drowning
