I need some help with what to say, I tried to not feel like I was writing it, but someone else, but I still feel jittery. I feel like I have to make it perfect but I want to express my true thoughts but my fear and butterfliee make it hard to put it into words knowing I'm talking about him. Can anyone help me with this? Huh... Do you know why he doesn't have gf? If he is shy, try to make him open up to you, show you are willing to listen, and show him kindness.

How did you know him for three years and he has no idea who you are?

I think, generally, confessions aren't advised as it just spills a lot of emotions on a person. Especially in this case, this person doesn't know who you are.

Regardless, you could just ask them out but not through a confession where you just put everything on the table. But that requires you just building a relationship first, be it just a friendly one/one where they actually know of you
