i really hope theres no afterlife

living after i die seems miserable, the whole point of killing myself is to no longer be conscious. i think being conscious and living with the knowledge of how it feels to die would be hell even if i got into heaven or whatever version you wanna say. the only good "afterlife" i think would be good is reincarnation as long as i lose my memories of this life, but even then ill just be put in this world again, and again, and again. nevermind there is no good versions of any afterlife.

If there is an afterlife...

It would most likely be from a god. Reincarnation in this world is pointless, and Heaven and Hell, as we understand them, seem unjust... But if the god who knows and created the universe is merciful in our case,
And consciousness might exist at a higher level if this world is merely a realm for us to shape our identity and personality,so I cannot imagine consciousness after death. And if it exists... it's impossible for it to be the same as what we have now.

I agree. It seems like another worrying gamble to me- another in which we get no say on whether we want to participate.

But then again- that raises a question for me- in the better scenario, if we qualify for heaven- how can it be a perfect heaven if we don't get the choice on whether we want to enter it? If it's eternal and we can't leave- how can that be 'perfect' if we end up wanting to? How is there heaven without free will?

I'll try to assuage your fears. First, there's no proof. Absolutely 0 proof of an afterlife.
There's 0 proof of any God or any supernatural being. So why would there be an afterlife?

The concept of afterlife came from religion. Why? religion gives people hope.That's all religion is there for. That's all its intended purpose is.

Then also look at the point of an afterlife. What would be the point of an afterlife? Can anyone explain?It's all so silly when you really look at it and think about it.
