Warm regards to everyone. I registered on the forum a while back, but my situation had stabilized. I am currently going through a terrible situation involving immense suffering, and I may need a way out in the future. I would appreciate it if you could tell me whether it is possible to obtain an illegal firearm in Spain; I've considered the darknet, but perhaps one of you could point me in the right direction. I would also like to get in touch with any Spaniards on the forum to share information. I am not a teenager—I am 55 years old—and if I ultimately decide to end things, it would be to avoid a terminal illness that, while not yet diagnosed, could well develop; I don't want to be left without the means to act if that happens. I would be grateful for any information you can provide, as well as for the chance to connect with someone, since I don't know anyone else. Thank you very much for listening.

Welcome back, but sorry to hear. Love Spain 🇪🇸. I encourage you to read the above attached thread. Try to have an open mind as you look over different options. A firearm was my first choice at first, too, but I've since changed my mind. I wish you the best of luck in whatever you decide.

Thanks a lot, ScarletTanager. The problem is that I don't trust myself with medication; I don't trust that I'd have the right state of mind to stay still without losing control and ending up messing things up by asking for help. That's why a firearm has always been my priority—something immediate. I'm afraid that when the day comes, I won't know what to do and will just end up wandering the city... although my second option is a train—the subway; I don't think I could survive if I stepped onto the tracks... As for chemicals, is there one that acts quickly, leaving no time for anything else? I know cyanide is like that, but I've read that the suffering is horrific...

In most EU countries access to firearms is heavily limited, with blackpowder guns being available no question asked in some countries, however after a quick research, Spain isn't one of those countries - of course as a Spaniard you'd have access to better data on that topic. As other said I recommend reading the megathread. There for sure are better chemical options with less suffering.

Please reconsider other options ctb via firearm is very brutal and hospitals are getting better at reviving people who attempt this way leaving you disfigured

Hope your find peace either way

I hear you, about the need to have a way out before health deteriorates, I'm an athlete and my physical strength has always been extremely important to me.
As for cyanide, the suffering wouldn't bother me too much if it's really quick, I think it's not that bad to be in terrible pain for a minute if it really isn't much longer than that... but how to get your hands on it is a whole different question, I'd have no clue!
I don't like pharmaceuticals, but there was a thread here explaining what enormous amounts would be needed of various different ones, and therefore it's considered a non-method that will usually fail.
I was considering CO for a while but there's a risk of survival with horrific damage to the body which has scared me off.
So in the end I guess I'll just go for a swim, taking some barbell weights along... Death itself won't be immediate, but the no-turning-back will be immediate, and I guess that's good enough.

I appreciate your sincerity, and I wish you—and everyone else who is suffering—the peace that deserve. The truth is, ending one's own life seems like a major undertaking, whereas other people who want to live perish from a simple food allergy. Like you, I don't have access to those substances, nor the knowledge needed to handle them. Obtaining a firearm seems practically impossible unless I were to steal one, and I don't want to harm or negatively affect others. Reading the forum leaves me exhausted; it's hard to process all the information provided, so I go through it in sessions, whenever I have the energy. Ultimately, I may have to resort to more accessible methods—even if they are more painful—such as the subway. Thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart, for sharing your information and experience with me.
