Venting I miss my dog

I miss him so much, every day when I came home from work he was always so excited to see me. I feel like I didn't love him enough and I'm a POS cus sometimes I wouldn't be in the mood to pet him and I would just ignore him and go inside and like, why am I taking it out on him when I love him so much? I hate myself so much for that I loved him so much. He was so cute actually the most adorable animal I think i've ever seen in my life. He was so precious why did I choose to ignore him why why why. I did pet him a lot when I get home and he seemed to love it so much whenever I stopped he would get kinda sad and I'd feel a bit bad so I pet him some more.

Kinda a rant but I miss him a lot, now when I get home, there's no one jumping up and down running to me anymore. I miss him the most.

Reading this made me cry for both you and your dog. He may not physically be here, BUT his spirit and soul lives on in you and that is so heartwarming.

I will say a prayer for both of you when I retire and huge hugs and so much everlasting love to the both of you.

Ahaha, thanks. Don't know why but I forgot that I might see him again soon. That helps. I have so much affection to give him when we meet again.

my dog died 2 years ago aswell :( I ithnk she was some blue heeler border collie mutt thing. It's gonna be hard man but usually you'll make it through and he'll live in your memory.

When I lost my lab it really broke my heart. A few days after I went to the local shelter to see about volunteering. I was walking past the kennels and this cute pup was just laying on the cement shaking. They even put her mother in there to comfort her but it didn't look to be working. I took her outside and sat with her. She started just looking at me but keeping her distance. After a couple hours she finally let me pet her and an hour later she started to warm up to me. I left when they were closing and I had to put her back in the kennel. I just want sure I was ready for another dog since I had just lost my best friend. I couldn't stop thinking about her that night.

Her journey to the shelter was a rough one. She was captured with her mom and 2 brothers running the streets of Texas just this side of the Mexican border. The dogs were out in a kill shelter and after a week or two their number was up. A rescue group came and saved them. Unfortunately they were put in the back of a semi in travel kennels. I traced their journey from the paper work. They spent 2 weeks driving around in the back of that trailer through Texas. Then they had a load so they headed out to the northwest. A week later they were were finally unloaded at my local shelter where I found her a few days later.

I ended up going back the next morning and she remembered me but was back to being really nervous. I decided then and there that she needed to go home with me. She has been my constant companion. Here she is in her favorite rig.
