Ignoring the polfags and racism, this site is useful. And yes, as politically incorrect as it is, we kinda need that. Things are becoming too politically correct anyway. Balance is required.
Besides, when we still had /suicide/ I made friends on a discord server I found on that site, and we were diverse, in terms of race, sexuality, or even gender and shit, I can go on. It really wasn't all that bad.

Never used 8chan asides from peeking in once, much like I barely ever used 4chan. Sometimes I'd peer into /co/ but I find it's just not worth my time anymore. I guess I'm too sensitive for those kinds of places, especially with all the jokes being made at my own demographic's expense. I'm afraid that if I did browse back in the day, though, I might've been converted into a goddamn fascist.

Either way, I'm only really a fan of meme bigotry when it's coming from fellow marginalized groups. That way you know for sure it's just jokes and not something insidious.

Me too. I miss the anonymous internet in general before it was subverted by dumb alt-right ideologies. It was one of the last bastions of free speech but now you're censored and ridiculed if you're not violently racist and homophobic so it's the same as anywhere else but the opposite. Ironically, I find alt-left to be equally as bad as alt-right. I hate fascism, racism, or whatever... however, I also hate people who have an intense hatred for others just because they're white, males, or have an opinion that is different from theirs. So much so that they'll commit violence to another or vandalism... or censor everything that doesn't fit their agenda.
