Venting I have been regularly seeing someone for the last 4 years and literally nothing happened. I wish I didn't waste my time.

I have been seeing the mental health person at my school for 4 years. Not the same person for all 4 years since I changed schools 2 years ago.
I have admitted to self harm, suicidal thoughts and complained about dissociation and wild mood swings.

Last December I got bullied online so I decided I'm not going to ctb just yet but I decided I've had enough and wanted to end up in prison. I said on snapchat I'm going to shoot up my school. I don't want to hurt anyone really but my goal was to get myself locked up. The cops came to school the next day and all that really happened was that they set me up with a real therapist instead of the school person. I went there for like 4 sessions and they ghosted me. I had an appointment and they didn't come to fetch me from the waiting room. Next day they just called me and asked if I want to schedule another time. I said fuck that and refused.

Ever since december I have been scared every time I see a cop. I constantly think about them following my every move and reading everything I do online.

People say you can always get help but you literally can't. I live in a welfare state and if I want to get therapy I'd always end up with the people who ghosted me since they are the only ones doing real therapy for minors. They don't give meds or diagnose. I guess I'll just be my own therapist and order some drugs to feel good. Not many other options left.

Considering that a "minor" in the vast majority (possibly all?) "welfare state" is anyone under 18years old - How old are you?

18 in 2 weeks. Was depressed 4 years ago when I started going. I no longer am but I know I'm going to impulsively ctb some day. This evening my mom told me to not bother coming to her funeral and I spent the next few hours researching if I can ctb tomorrow morning by downing 1 liter of 40% alcohol my step dad has hidden away. I also have severe dissociation to the point that it feels like I didn't have a childhood. It feels like I started existing a few years ago. I can't read books or listen to podcasts because I can't concentrate for more than 20 seconds at a time. I haven't had any friends for 8 years now. I literally don't go anywhere but school. All I do is kill time on my computer or do school stuff and I haven't enjoyed it for a long time

I think you have to be 18 to use this site - this site would be shut down (and very quickly) due to insane outside pressure, if it were seen to allow minors/if word got out that minors were using it.

I'm sorry life is so difficult for you. I can't really give you any advice other than smoke some weed lol, I think it could help. It helps me a lot with mindfulness, and appreciating what I do have. Do some yoga at the same time:)

I find this unacceptable. This is more than just the reputation or standing of the site, it's about doing what we can to protect the younger people in our society.

I purposefully left my opinion out. I told @Unicorncorn21 why it is simply not feasible that a minor could have an account here - I didn't need to get into a debate about the ethics of whether they should or shouldn't be allowed one.

For the record (and from an ethical standpoint), no, I don't think minors should be allowed accounts here.

I think it's important that anyone at any age can come here to talk about their feelings and problems, since MH and other trials and tribulations can hit any of us at any time, and so it's not just important that we allow anyone of any age, but also more important are our responsibilities to have a balanced approach to answering them, rather than a you're right/you're wrong approach.

Nothing is black or white in life, there are a zillion shades of grey in between, and we should endeavour to understand the person as much as possible, rather than ramming our rhetoric or beliefs at them, just because that's how we feel, or what we believe.

We all have to make our own choices, if we can help someone else along the way, then that's not a bad thing.

But in this particular case it is actually black & white. The minimum age to join this site is 18years.
